I Format my 620 and I lost all my info

format erases everything, theres only the music, photo, video, instruction manual and coby media manager software. Coby Media manager can be downloaded from:
http://www.cobyusa.com/files/software/MP707_Media_Manager.zip If you need it. You'll have to retransfer all your other music, photo or video.

I WANT TO DELETE ALL THE MUSIC ON FILE

The best and quickest way to erase all from you player would be to use windows explorer. Just treat it as any other folder (music folder) select it, right click, then choose delete. Another sure fire way is to format the player either though the coby Media Manager program (look in bottom right corner) or open a command prompt and use the format command. For instance, if your computer designates the player as drive letter F: then you would type at the command prompt...

Format F: /u

Don't worry about the other items on the player, such as, the radio, setup menu, etc. they will still be there. Format will remove all other data (Music, photos, text, video, and even the Media Manager program) so to be safe you should backup any files you want to keep first, especially the media manager program.

I prefer the coby media manager over the windows media player and/or real-player. It is alot easier to update the song info if you have to do so manually. Especially if you are trying to add album art to the songs.

Good Luck!!!

Remember...Back up you player programs before using the format option...or deleting any files for that matter.

I just got my Coby MP600-4G Player and I have a Windows XP Home Edition computer with an very old version of itunes and a Windows Media Player. My computer recognizes that a USB mass storage device is...

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

Deleting songs from a Coby MPC855 player

Hello,
When using Windows Media Player 11 as this is common for the MPC885, you can delete songs running this software and making connection from the player to the computer using the provided USB cable.
In the Library menu of WMP11, the Coby player should show up on the left side in the list.
When clicking Music in the left corner of the second bar on top of WMP11, all music shows up from preselected synchronization maps on the computer plus the player.
Click on the player to see the content and delete the songs you'd like to remove.

Only setup guide available for this player:

Hello I have a coby 610-4g mp3 player and would like to know where I should go to install software to play music. Thank you

Hello,

Coby support for the MP610:
http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=search

Look in the manual, page 28 for the folders, files have to be put into.
Put music in the MUSIC folder.
Manual for the MP610:
http://www.cobyusa.com/files/manuals/MP610_MN.pdf
See from page 29 how to transfer files.
Always safely remove the player hardware connection.

When using Windows operating system, Windows Media Player 11 can be used to transfer media as well. Look in the Quick Setup Guide how to use WMP11:

Deleted songs are still there!

I agree with profalwg, use Windows Explorer. When you connect the player's USB cable to the computer, a window should open...click on the option to open with Windows Explorer. If you delete files and they still don't go away (happens sometimes) go into the player's Setup menu & change the USB setting to MSC. Doing this corrects 99% of player recognition problems. Hope this helps!

Erasing files

connect it to the computer
go to windows media player
go to sync
make sure that the mp4 player is connected (by looking to the side and it says coby mp705 and it shows how much space is left)
look to the left side of the media player...(where it says artists, playlists, songs, albums)
there should be a coby 705 section
if its closed open it
go to artists or songs and right click on the song or artist you want to take out...and press delete
