Re: my dumass WING

Lol.. sorry for laughing but that's funny... i would recommend for you to take the battery off for 15 seconds and put it back again. If this didn't work go to START-SETTING-BACKLIGHT... then you will see of how to save the battery power and also the external power. Try this and let me know if your phone is been fixed. thank you goodluck

Will this work on a samsung Myshot II phone I have cricket service and my phone...

Your battery has been depleted past a chargable state.  This is a due to a bad design in the phone that doesn't monitor the battery power state well enough.  It actually allows the battery to be taken under the minimum amount needed to recharge the battery.

You can fix this, but do so at your own risk.

You can simply purchase a new battery, that will work, just been sure not to let it deplete the battery totally anymore.

Now, on to the fix

-Take out the battery.
-Get any usb cable you can find sitting around. (any usb wire will do, an old printer cable, anything with a usb end that can plug into your computer)
-cut one end of the plug off. You need to leave the side on that connects to your computer. Cut off the side that plugs into a device (printer, camera, web cam, etc)
-Strip the rubber off the wire and expose the wires inside.
-Separate the wires from each other. You will only be using the BLACK and RED wires.
-strip the very end of the black and red wires carefully using a wire cutter exposing the metal wire inside the red and black covering.
-Plug in your home made battery charger to your computer. Careful not to touch any exposed metal, as it will give you a small shock.

-now carefully hold the black wire to the negative terminal on the battery (it should be noted with a black circle with a - in the middle). Then touch the red wire to the positive terminal (it will be noted with a red circle with a + in the middle).

Hold the 2 wires there for 20 seconds. Then quickly plug the battery back into the phone, and then plug it into a regular charger. Give it little bit of time, if you've done everything correctly the charge light should come on.

I had to repeat the last step again to get the light to turn on indicating it was charging.

You must not hold the wires to the battery for too long, 20 seconds should do it. You can overload a battery with this trick and actually make it explode if you hold it there too long. You are well within the few minutes needed to detonate the battery due to overcharging by sticking very strictly to 20 seconds.

Just be careful and you'll be fine.

One you get a charge light give it a few minutes in the off position, then try powering up the device and keep it plugged in until you get 100% charge.

Good luck,

T-Mobile Wing rings normally when calls are received and calls can be dialed OK. HOWEVER, when connected on an incoming or outgoing call, I cannot hear the other party and they cannot hear me. I tried the...

I hate to say it but you might need to hard-reset the phone. If you choose to do so BACK UP YOUR DATA first. You can get a free program called "PIM Backup." This will let you back up all of your contacts, emails, etc. (all personal information). To hard reset, hold down both of the soft keys at the same time, then simultaneously use your stylus to hit the reset button. You should get a black screen with some text on it asking if you want to hard reset. Press the "send" key to confirm. If you don't get the screen right away keep trying as it doesn't work perfectly every time.

if the sim is definately ok, Phone is faulty, blacklisted or not designed to be used in your region (eg gsm phone in cdma only area)
ask your service provider if your IMEI (type *#06#) is blacklisted, if so the previous owner has registered it lost or stolen or not paid there bill

Unlocking a t-mobile wing

You don't have to contact T-Mobile for unlocked code since you are no longer their customer but yo canbuy an unlocked code on by register with Ebay as a new user, choose option Cell phones & PDAs from Categories and then scroll down to look for Unlocking Kits and Codes and then type your phone model, it will show you a bunch of unlocking code for sale. Good Luck

Button stuck?

or course, powercycle....if that doesnt work, a master reset will be needed.....because it sounds like there might be somehitng stuck on the screen in the corner for make it scroll around, clean the screen with a qtip and rubbing alchohol.....if that doesnt work, try a software reset. with the phone off, you will have to press and hold the button withthe lines on them and press the power button.....release the powerbutton.....the phoen should turn on and go to a black screen with white writing....release the soft keys here and press the green call will reset the phone, but in turn, you will loose your info that is not stored on the sim or media card...

this is hard to do, so if you can navigate through the phone go to start, setttings, system, clear storage. it does the same thing. good luck :)

Tmobile Wing won't stop scrolling

Could be the touch screen, fold a piece of paper in half and run it around the screen and make sure nothing is under the lip.

Ok. So stumbled across this page because I was having the same problem, i.e. all of a sudden the wing was moving unbelievably slow and would lock up if I tried to text. I pulled out the battery, classic, and then I pulled out the sim card. Then I put the battery back in and started it with out the sim card. I unlocked the phone with my code, I couldn't do the second "unlock" because there was no sim card. However, I could play solitaire, look at memory; ya know, mess with the basics. Then I turned the phone off with the power button, pulled the battery out, put the sim card back in, turned the phone on and now everything is great! I have even texted with no problems! hope this works for you!!!
