Believe it or not, the easiest way to unstick it is to force-turn it. apply a little force at a time. don't worry about breaking it (unless you are a steel worker). it just jumped a thread.

What I would try to do is, loosen the screw so its not stiff to adjust, adjust the lens to the right position then tighten up the screw again. Hopefully this should work for you!!

If there is any discoloration like a blueish hue then the light tunnel has collasped. But if it is just plain ol' fuzzy there is a trick you can try. Grab the focus tube behind the focus ring tightly and put some umph into it and completely unscrew the tube from the projector. Look inside the projector with a light and if you see any of the dried glue hanging from where it screws in remove it with some needlenose pliers. Gently shake out any that has fallen inside. Now look at the tube and clean any glue from it. While you have it off look at the back side of the lens and make sure it's clean. Next screw the lens on till it is on the threads but not completely screwed on. Now put 1 hand on the rear of the projector and one on the end of the lens and push the lens into the threads until it pops and then tighten it the rest of the way in but don't over tighten. Get your palm prints off the lens and fire it up and check the focus. Try to look at a screen that has text from corner to corner and see if the text is clear in each corner. If not loosen the barrel again and keep trying to get a different position when reseating the barrel and check each time until the 4 corners of the screen are in focus. When you get it close enough for your satisfaction and have tightened the tube back up the fun part starts.... Now you need to remove the top cover and be sure to break off the 2 airplane tail-fins in the top cover on either side if a tech hasn't already done in the past (they just get in the way when putting the top back on). Once you have the top off you need to super glue the tube back to the part that it is screwed into, just a very thin bead as far around the tube as you can. This will prevent the tube from unscrewing in the future when you are using the zoom adjustment. Let it dry and good luck !!!!

Jammed projector lens infocus lp770

get a wide bladed flathead and find the widest part of the **** between the focus ring and zoom. work the blade like you are trying to widen the the slot, do this all the way around till it pops back into place.

InFocus LP70 projector is running hot

clean the dust out of it with canned air. the dust keeps in the heat that the projector is trying to expell. it also shortens the life of the lamp.

It sound like the lens zoom has broken.
If other lens is ok and this lens still focuses automatically the conection is working.

Sorry to bring the bad news but it may cost less to get a new lens than to get it fixed.

Someone else might have an idea how to fix the zoom, good luck.

Infocus LP70 dropped and now the focus is jammed.

try pulling the outer ring out a little while twisting it (you won't break it). then try the inner ring. if it wiggles, you need to take it apart- and that's not a pretty job.
