Question about Steinberg Cubase Studio 4 Upgrade Version for PC (502012210)
My problem is that I was in a rough patch and I used a Macbook pr in a live concert to record with my interface which came with LE4. afterwards I transfered the files to my PC. I have SX3 installed but the files won't open with it. and the ****** is I can't find my LE4 cd. Is there a way to open these files with my SX3?

SOURCE: transfer your files on cd
I use Sony Sound Forge and it is very similar. In your porgram once you have imported your wave files into a sequence for a mix you will want to find the command in your menus that in essence tells the program to 'burn audio cd' or export as music cd. Burning your file as it is to a cd is more like saving your project. A command such as exports as music mp3 would allow you to set resolution from various qualities up to CD qualities which uses the most space as there is little to no compression. You may also be able to burn or export as music CD at in a 'lossless' format. These lossless formats take up more room and you would have fewer songs per Music CD. You would also want to name each element in your sequence with song titles and artist name.
If you have any further questions on what commands you have found in your program let me know and we can suss this out together.

SOURCE: usb mic in cubase sx3
you have a pci audio card so maybe you can add an extra input device by going to devices panel or press F4 shortcut.
and choose your usb mic.
also you can check your wavelab audio inputs. they must have the same config so if you can record woth your usb mic and your poci card in wave lave you must be able to do so in cubase sx
hope it works

You must adjust the record level from the input device - i.e. mixer or soundcard. There is no input level control within Cubase. It is often the case, however that the problem lies with the backing track being too loud.
