The projector can fail to start and the power and temp lights will blink orange. This is a known problem with the Dell 1800MP projectors caused by a failed capacitor in the power supply. You can fix it yourself if you know how to use a soldering iron and have some experience with electronics. There are other posts on the Internet that show or point you to the repair. Search on Dell 1800MP power supply failure. If not willing to attempt the repair, I will repair these projectors for you at a cost of $40 plus actual shipping from me to you. You would pay the shipping cost to me. Considering the effort it takes to repair one of these units, this is a fair price. Dell charges $250 for the repair plus parts. I have repaired numerous of these units with 100% success. My occupation is working as a power supply designer for one of the largest manufacturers of drivers for LED lighting. email@example.com
