Color cartridge faulty, if you want color printouts replace new color cartridge.. Select "print in grey scale" in printing preferences,if you want to print only in back & white.
If your printer prints like this: The problem is with the developer in the imaging unit. The problem can be fixed by either replacing the imaging unit for $100+ or you can fix it yourself by cleaning the imaging unit. You will need simple hand tools and if you are careful restore the print quality of your printer. I have a link to instructions that should help you http://www.fixya.com/support/r4120906-clean_developer_blades_samsung_clp_300 Hope this helps you.
This has to do with the document printing properties. When you are ready to print a document, choose properties and make sure you go through the printer settings under that software. The test page only verifies the cartridges. The printer properties of the software control the printer during printing.
my canon mp250 won't print color photos it does well with BW but not color. I took back the first one I had did the same thing now the second one won't print color photos off the internet. what did I do wrong? Both inks are brand new.
Sometimes, the brand new inks have a bad head on them. You should return the ink to the store for a replacement and the new one should work fine. I had 4 do this to me in a row.
What you have is a dried up color cartridge. You can try to use the <clean print heads> in the diagnostic tools section of you priner software. (usually, just try to print something & the window will appear) Sometimes you have to clean heads, then print test page like 2 or 3 times before it clears up. If that doesn't correct it, don't worry. Have your color cartridge filled (staples, office depot, & other stores do it cheap) - or - replace it with a new cartridge. You may have to run the clean print heads program after installing a new cartridge, but this will definitely fix your problem.
The print head for the yellow color may be clogged. Check the manual to see how to turn on your print head's cleaning system. Run it until the yellow starts to print properly. If after running the cycle 4 or 5 times you still can't get any yellow to print you will probably have to take the printer to your local repair depot to have them diagnose the problem.
