Either the belt has broken or the beater bar is stuck. Need to take off the cover where the beater bar is and inspect it-first thing-is the belt there, and if so, is it worn, loose, broken? If you DON'T see the belt wrapped around the beater bar, you need a new one installed.

Hope this helps.

I have a Bosch Exxcel 7 1400 express, had F21 error which I cleared but now when set to wash, water comes in but the drum doesn't move.

F21 refers to the carbon brushes in the motor so price new brushes - if you are handy they are easy to fit and not expensive - but if you can't do it yourself i personally wouldn't spend too much on repairing a 5 year old machine

I have two Tuscany faucets. One in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. Both are brushed nickel and both are peeling. Is this a normal problem with brushed nickel? I'm looking to get a new kitchen faucet...

Brushed nickel finishes can be delicate. Do not use any chemicals to clean. Use a soft damp cloth. Contact the manufacturer and complain about it. I bet they send you replacements, or simply exchange them for new ones at Menards. Remember, no chemical cleaners!

I have a Bissell vacuum #6594-W. The brush bar will not spin. It keeps melting the belt on the other end of the pully...HELP!

Remove the beater bar and spend some time removing the hairs and carpet fibers from the roller. It may take some cutting with a sharp knife to get it all, but with patience, you will have it smoothly rotating again. Test it by holding it just by the metal end and rotating the brush tube by hand. When it spins freely, it's ready to reinstall.

Moter engaging wheels not turning

Hi Jimmy. Does your machine display and flashing lights, if it does, count the flashes between the pauses. This is a fault code. If you let us know how many flashes, we can help you.
It might be a stuck motor brush. Undo the caps and see if either brush is stuck. A light file with a fine file might help. Careful tightening the brush caps as they can crack if done up to tight.
Good luck. Neil.

My roomba 550 keeps making a clicking noise and it says to clean the brushes, even after I do it

Hello, this type of Clicking sound is most likely a loose alignment within the brush axles. There is a particular way the brushes have to go, each in an individual position. Try to tinker around with the position(s), :) lol... this should solve the Clicking caused by miss ~ alignment. :)

Ciao

The vacuum cleaning brush is not spending

Yes belt probably broken. Also the brush roller heats up on the ends, causing the plastic end cap nearest the belt to melt/weld to the end. It's supposed to spin freely. Also 2 bearings inside tend to become sticky, probably from heat. Next thing you know, the brush roller is seized and will not turn. Probably the whole reason the belt breaks. New belt & new brush roller, 30-35 bucks. It will happen again. Now you've spent almost half what it costs new. Lose the junk. 2 years for a cheap vacuum is the normal life span anyhow.

Brush does not spin

I thought my belt went bad....which it did, however there was another issue....The brush was not turning freeley, and would hardley turn at all, which caused my belt to go bad. Apparently, there are sealed bearings in the brush that you can not get to. If your brush will not turn, you can either spend some $$ and get a replacement. I opted to spend some time on mine, and soaked it in some Mr. Clean and water. I then sprayed brake part cleaner into both ends, and re soaked it. I then put some dish soap on either end and freed up the bearings. In between each of the steps I described above, I would try to work it by hand. I have not had a problem since, and saved some $$ too! Good luck and hope you get the same results I did;-)

Main Brush Failure

first check if the brush motor is turning before you spend money on a new brush roller and belt. remove the belt by unscrewing the screws holding the brush cover ( the part touching the floor ) and slip the belt of the rotor. turn the vacuum on, and the brush on while the vacuum is in a reclined position. if the motor is not moving, you need a new motor.
