Question about Maytag Neptune FAV6800AW Top Load Washer
Hello lonnellhanks…… Rich from Honey Brook PA. Good morning.
I wish this Forum Board required Model number and s/n for machine questions but is doesn’t. We are in a Machine Specific Forum (Neptune FAV6800AW Top Load Washer ) so my answer and questions are based on the FAV6800A/FAV9800A machines.
For those machine types failing in spin cycle will produce an error code dC or uC which are unbalance error codes. Is your machine type a FAV6800A or FAV9800A. My Pic icon is my FAV6800A for reference. DO you have a fail code to the console display with this issue?
Do you want to DIY the fix? It only takes basic mechanical skill sets to work on solving your issue if you are failing with the above error codes. I have a DIY step by step process to solve what I feel may be a clutch issue with the very limited information supplied.
If your machine is a FAV6800A/FAV9800A see this post; Clutch repair post. If it’s your machine type and you want to DIY and save your machine and some $$$ I will help you every step of the way. I’m and owner of the FAV6800A armed with some knowledge and hands on experience. Look thru the past 10 – 15 post and my rating..
If your machine type is not a FAV6800A or FAV9800A then please disregard my post. Standing by if I can help…..Rich

the valve at the water entry needs to be replaced..
Hope this helps..
