Question about Acer 91.63X07.001 Keyboard

1 Answer

I installed my free upgrade of Windows 7, and now am having alot of problems with my laptop. When laptop boots up, the Windows screen/logo is all distorted. When I close laptop and open again, it never starts back up, it is in sleep mode, but never turns back on. Also, when I log off/shutdown computer, it says "logging off" or "shutting down", but never does. Stays on that screen forever. Then I have to hold power button down for 4 seconds to shut off.

Go to the tech support site of the manufacturer of your laptop, search your model, and find appropriate drivers for your laptop. Some things may not have installed corrected (or at all) when you updated to Windows 7 from Vista.

Probably not. If it is specifically for Sony. Otherwise you can purchase a disc from Fleabay quite cheaply.

Acer laptop display goes off after some second

Try booting into safe mode. Chances are that you have set the screen resolution and refresh rate to some value that the LCD cannot handle. That is why it works until Windows takes over. Once you are in Safe Mode you can get things under control.

My laptop is not instaling winodws 7 and working good on xp

It's very common when installing Windows 7 for you to get to the Windows logo or blue windows screen and it be blank and you sometimes have to wait for anything up to 15-20mins before the installation options appear, unsure why this is but make sure you allow 30mins on that blank screen before righting it off... You also need to decide if your setting up a dual boot system if you already have XP on their, if you want to keep both then select dual boot when installing. Sorry it's not an answer but waiting 15-mins or so may give u the answer, had that happen lots of times with win7

Wont boot bios windows

Try pressing F8 while the laptop is booting and select "safe mode". If it boots fine in safe mode, it might be either driver issue or the laptop's videocard giving up. The driver issue is corrected by installing the right drivers, you can ensure if the problem is on the hardware side by setting it to boot in 640*480*256 (or lowest possible resolution) and see if it boots. Also, try pressing F8 during boot and select the option to log the boot process. The log file might then tell you what causes the stop/hang.

Windows8 back to Windows7?

Unfortunately you cannot uninstall Windows 8 and go back to Windows 7 but you can:
a) Reinstall Windows 7 from the recovery media (DVD or USB flash drive)
b) Reinstall Windows 7 by using Advanced recovery methods
For option a:
Turn off your PC
Turn it on, keep pressing F12 before Windows logo ( you do that when you see the manufacturer's logo not the Windows logo)
After that you should see a boot-menu
Insert the disk
Select and press Enter on the option to boot from CD/DVD
Then click on Install now and follow the instructions
To remove Windows 8 and install Windows 7, you'll have to deal with the partitions**
For option b (it's only possible if you have created a recovery image of your system before Windows 8 upgrade):
Do what's in the images:
To get to this screen go to Control Panel and search recovery
1_27_2013_11_17_10_am.png
1_27_2013_11_18_02_am.png
In this image you see 2 types of recovery options, as you know we are on the option b), so you'll need to choose the first type of recovery options Use a system image you created earlier to recover your computer.***

**You'll need to make an unallocated space to which you're going to install Windows 7 in.
***This option is only usable if you have created a system image before upgrading to Windows 8.

Note that both of these processes may result in data loss, so please be sure to backup all of your data.

Screen goes black just after windows logo on a E-SYSTEM sorrento 1.

Your monitor display settings are no longer set (synced) with the upgrade. Boot into Safe Mode by pressing F8 during boot and lower the screen resolution.

You will have to check Display drivers in Device Manager, and make sure they are loaded.

Fujitsu N6420 upgraded to Windows 7 Professional. Ran fine for a month or so until it hung in middle of automatic Windows update. Now can not boot from hard drive or CD--gets to Windows logo splash screen...

If you still have the install disk you can put that in, hold F12 as the computer is booting up, and choose to boot from CD. The setup disk has a repair option that might fix the problem.

I have a compaq presario 1200 laptop and I have a blue screen problem. Whenever I run anything memory intensive it simply flashes a blue screen at me then reboots. Whats more is after it reboots it won't...

Your Operating System (OS) is corrupted.
The best solution to this problem is to reinstall your OS using an OS installation CD.
I would also recomend upgrading to Windows XP.
You can upgrade by simply installing Windows XP on your laptop.
Back up all your data before reinstalling your OS.
