    Hi Benimur,

The PC is an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, ASRock 775Dual-VSTA motherboard, 2GB ram DDR2 Corsair XMS2, vga NVidia 6800 GT agp, os Windows XP Professional SP2.

I bought the projector last summer and since then it was used for less than 20 hours. Previously everything was ok. Maybe right now I have different video drivers( ForceWare91.31) than then but that should not be a problem, I guess.

    Thank you for your time!

I have the same problem on a laptop Dell Inspiron 1000 with SIS M650 graphic board. I've tryed all settings but nothing, my videoprojector dosen't work on my laptop. Is probably something to do with the driver, because when i unistaled it the vidoeprojector worked, but only when windows was logining off.

Hi,

One good thing is that you are running XP. Will work on the premise (that you have posted) worked before and the driver (ForceWare91.31) was the only thing changed.

Let's try the easy ones first. Activate twin/dual view in your Display Properties. Right click on any clear area of your desktop, click on Properties, click on Settings tab, select monitor 1 or 2 depending which is your primary and which is your projector. Check (or uncheck-whichever works) on box "Extend....". Apply, OK.

or

do the same with nView Properties.

The hard ones are registry and/or inf editing, though I am reluctant to even suggest.

Incidentally, there is an application that is supposed to facilitate twin or dual view configuration, UltraMon. This may be better/safer way to address your concern.

If all else fails, you may have to rollback/downgrade your driver.

Cheers.

Can the Optoma EP739 be ceiling mounted and projected upside down? what are the steps to do so? also, what would be the best mount for said projector?

Mine has been in place for about three years. Because the ceiling was open I was able to create a connection for a tripod head on the ceiling and then using a STRONG tripod head and some small bolts (longer than the originals) I mounted an external base and with the tripod head fitting dttached to the projector it just became a matter of running the various connector cables from the sources I use that require projection to my wall.

We have a optoma ep739 used at our local football club;but whenit gets warm it cuts out until it cools down;isthere any filters that need cleaning

take the lamp out, there is a fan directly looking to the lamp... clean it with a compressor. and after that at the menu of projector there is a place called 'High Altitude'. turn it on. And it'll be fine...

Optoma EP739

The lamp cover has a disconnect that wont allow the unit to power on while the cover is off.

Try taking the lamp cover off and bending the little piece of metal you find underneith.

It worked for me.

Projector operating

Hi there

If the signal is not picking up do the following:

Right click on your desktop and go to Properties - then click on settings and check if your resolution is set right i.e. - a XGA (1024 x768 ) Resolution on PC and Laptop.Or SVGA ( 800x600)

Then click on the advanced settings tab and check if your secondary screen/monitor is attached - needs to be attached.

If this still doesn't work then hold in the Fn ( function ) button - situated on left side of your spacebar and press the button in your F-row of buttons with the 2 screens on it.

This should do the trick
