Using an Integral 4GB flash drive in USB port, how do you switch between drives on the flash drive?

A flash drive is only one storage drive. It appears on the Removable Disk drive in the Computer file if it is plugged into a USB port. You can change and access different files on your flash drive if you click on Removable Disk in your Computer file.

I have photos files etc in my pen drive of Kingston DT 101 G2, what do i have to do to run ur Drive to see my files and photos ? can some one help me? thanks, Janaka

Insert the pen drive into USB port, then open My Computer. You will see some drives. Hard disk drives, CD Room drives, and removable media drives. Example: Your hard disk (drive C, D, E), CD Room (drive F), Removable media (drive G). So, each time you insert a tool such as pen drives, memory cards, etc, you can see it on drive G.

To view the data pen drive, double click My Computer, click the drive G. If you want to move files from pen drive to your hard disk, open the drive G, block all files, copy and paste to drive C / D / E.

hopefully help

How do i download my photos from htc desire hd to my laptop

You can copy your music, photos, and other files to your phone's storage card.

  1. Connect your phone to your computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. On your phone's Connect to PC screen, tap Disk drive, and then tap Done. On your computer, the connected phone is recognized as a removable disk.
  3. Navigate to the removable disk and open it.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Copy the files from the computer to the phone's storage card's root folder.
    • Copy the files from the phone's storage card to a folder in your computer.
  5. After copying the files, unmount the removable disk (that is, the connected phone) as required by your computer's operating system to safely remove your phone.

Pen drive removable disk but not showing my data in pen drive also not accepted formating .

When you attach the usb drive, after that right click on my computer icon and click Manage option. After that under Manage console select Disk Management, look for removable drives (that is your usb drive) under it and then format it. It will be formatted.

If that also doesn't work, use some special file formatting utilities like Disk Wipe, File Format etc.

Unfortunately I dropped my Trekstor 500GB hard drive on the floor and now it registers as a removable disk with message "please insert disk into removable disk". My computer is a Windows vista. Can the...

An external unit has two main parts:
* the disk-drive
* the USB-to-disk-drive adapter

In your case, the adapter seems to be working OK.

But, when Windows tries to read the 'table-of-contents' from the disk-drive, it cannot,
and so you get the 'please insert' message.

You might want to disassemble the unit, and remove the disk-drive,
and connect it as a 'slave' disk-drive in a desktop computer,
just to bypass the adapter, to see if the disk itself can be read.

So, about 0.1% of the blocks on the disk-drive are 'unreadable'.
This means that the other 99.9% of the disk-drive _could_ be readable,
namely all your files.

Search online for 'DATA RECOVERY' software -- it reads through the blocks on the disk-drive,
block-by-block, trying to 'stitch' blocks back together (like assembling a jigsaw puzzle) to
reconstruct the (unreadable) table-of-contents, and thus make it possible to copy the files
from that drive onto the 'C:' drive of the desktop computer.

How copy ALL My Documents to removable disk Microsft Works

okay, assuming you have your removable disk attached to your computer and a drive letter is assigned to it (let's say K: for example) - open up Windows explorer and click on My Documents on the left side - then hit Ctrl-A - you should now see everything in the My Documents folder is now highlighted on the right side - now right click over the highlighted items and choose (left-click) Copy from the popup menu - this will copy EVERYTHING in your My Documents folder -

after the copy completes (could take a while if you have a lot of items) then in Windows Explorer click on the drive letter of the removable drive (K: in my example) - then right click over the area on the right and choose Paste - this will now put all the copied items to the removable drive

A few things to consider
- you didn't specify what kind of documents you're looking to copy so the instructions above will copy EVERYTHING under my documents - this includes My Pictures, My Videos, etc. and any and all folders or files under My Documents
- also this procedure COPIES the files to the removable drive - leaving the original files intact on your hard drive - if you want to MOVE them to the removable drive then choose Cut instead of Copy in the step above

512MB KINGSTON DATA TRAVELER BECOMES SKYMEDI USB DRIVE USB DEVICE..PLS HELP

I think that I have a similar problem (and a potential solution)

1. My thumb drive is 4GB "super talent", and I have used it for about 2years

2. Suddenly, it show up as "REMOVABLE" SKYMEDI USB DEVICE (!)

3. I tried "google" for answer... and did not get further

4. Finally, I righ click on "my computer" -> select "manage" the "computer management" MMC windows open

4.1 I tried the "Disk Management" and it still can not connect to it

4.2 I clicked on "Removable Storage" ... and then I "SKYMEDI..."

4.3. I righ click on the device and select "Task" -> "Free" (thinking ... what can be worst!)

4.4 ... sunddenly ... I see my drive back ... with everything on it....

I hope that this help (... I am guessing that the "removable storage" manager locked this device somehow)

Work through My computer once putting the disk in the USB port. It should read "removable device". Click back and forth from c: drive to my computer to make the computer recognize it faster. Then once the computer recognizes teh drive you will be able to send any file through right clicking the mouse and going to "send to" "removable disk". Let me know what happens.
