if it cant read your sim card it must be something with your hardware. either get your simcard replaced or itll be the simcard slot in your phone.
check the slot with a different sim card and if it works then its your sim card that doesnt work.
if they both dont work try them both on a different phone and if they work there get your phone checked.
I have my boyfriends ATT sim card in the phone plus my T-mobile. Both work fine. Go under settings and Dual Sim Settings and make sure whatever slot you have the card in is turned on. If you have more than one sim card in it should be on Dual SIM Open. If not pick which slot it's in and turn it on :P If that's not it then sorry I dont know. Just a thought.
flip the sim card over and cutoff the other sim slot example"if chip is face down make it face up" if that doesnt work switch to other sim slot and repeat the steps above if that doesnt work you can go to this link for more help
okay turn your phone off take the back off ,battery and take the sim card out now put the battery back in with out sim card .. turn on. now go open sim and close sim 2... turn off...remove back and battery put sim card in slot 1 make sure its in all the way put battery and back on ... turn the phone on... give it a few minutes it should work....
make sure the sim card is inserted properly. sim card slot 2 is the one away from where battery cover (against the phone) the gold chip will face up towards you. sim card slot 1 is the one slightly elevated gold chip will face down. if you are sure you have it inserted correctly, follow the steps below that came off the help disc i have offered. Works for I9 and I68. Emergency calls only, then try these steps; 1.) Shut down the phone, remove the SIMS, and replace them back in the slots in the correct manner again. It may just be that the SIMS aren't in correctly, not pushed far enough into the slot, or their metal grid isn't making good contact with the SIM's slot pins. Try to wedge a tiny piece of paper, placed against the side of the SIM without the metal contacts, between the phone and the SIM so it makes the SIM's metal contact points fit up against the phone's SIM slot contacts a little more snugly.
