Normally the LAPTOPS have been designed to work within a safe temperature range - normally 50 to 95 degrees F (10 - 35 degrees C). It is necessary to safeguard your laptop from cold weather Protect yourself and your laptop from the damage cold weather can cause. One solution to it is buying Ruggedized LaptopsIf your budget permits, purchase or lease a ruggedized laptop if you will be outside in cold temperatures for extended periods of time. Ruggedized laptops have been designed to work under extreme weather conditions. Most ruggedized laptops come tested according to MIL-STD-810F standards.
Cradle and contacts are fine. Cradle circuit is nothing but a reed relay and few wires, relay closes on proximity to robot's body, therefore no voltage on contacts before robot is close to cradle. There is a thermistor inside of battery, and mine was bad. I removed it and now I am charging the battery from my bench power supply at about 220 ma current, overnight, and it works. Probably the solution is to get a new replacement battery, but the one with the thermistor inside (OEM), easily recognized by the third wire, and all should be fine, assuming that nothing else is wrong with charging circuit or power adapter (12v/1A) Hope this will give you some ideas of where to poke. Once successful, please post your solution.
If it says DC input and there are no other socket which has three prongs(this is for the AC input), all you need is an adapter, which you will plug to a wall socket and the other end would be plugged to the flat panel, it works like a transformer, just like any power supply, like for laptops, just try to find the correct voltage, 12v,16v or whatever is needed by the panel. Often you can find the voltage require on the panel itself, reading as POWER INPUT, xx volts or Power requirement.

Hi Friend, I suggest that you do a virtual ram from your hard drive. Right click on your "My computer icon",properties, advanced,in the performance section select settings and in the advanced tab, go to the Virtual memory section and press change.Change the initial size to 3000 MB and maximum size to 6000 MB.This should do the work.
After bios upgrade had same problem. DISCONNECT AC POWER PULLED BATTERY FOR AT LEAST 5 MINUTES THEN REATTACHED BATTERY AND FAN WORKED ON NEXT RESTART. Also make sure boot menu ( tap F12 at start-up) is set to boot from Hard Drive. I also started on battery power with no ac adapter.
its not that expensive for a power cord. they are running on 12v so you go and buy a 12v power supply with a jack that fits the speakers or you can just find a power supply at home if you have one that is 12v
