Question about Philips Magnavox MWR10D6 DVD Recorder

1 Answer

Time resets We have 2 of these in 2 different rooms and record daily. We're starting to miss programs due to the date and times mysteriously resetting. We'll go to change the disc only to find it empty and the unit's time saying that it is yesterday, or 3 days ago, or 12 hours ago. We'll reset day and time and then, blam, find it happened again. It's happening more frequently now. And no, it's not power outages, nothing else is affected.

    Magnavox MWR10D6 DVD Recorder

I purchased a DVD recorder Sept. 2007. In November it started missing set times to start and stop. Finally, I have been repeatedly trying to get the unit repaired onder 90 day time perion. Funai -is difficult to work with. I have faxed them information 3 times . They said they never received it. The unit will not keep time. Philips/Magavox needs to have another company handlw customer service. I am turned off by the treatment of their reps. I will not be looking for another Magnavox product. LF.

Just can't set the time on the Magnavox after using it for only a couple of months. At first the timing worked and then it just quit.

Don't have the slightest idea why!

MAGNAVOX DVD RECORDER MODEL # MWR10D6: Is a piece of junk. Yet another worthless waste material and rescources. In other words they or someone else could have taken the materials and energy used to assymble this thing and used it for some other appliance or device that would actually work. This thing is so worthless that it was environmentally irresponsible for the manufactures to even make it. Now all it's good for is filling landfills.

My suggestion is to do as I am right now and go onto any and every forum, or message board you know about and warn as many people as you can away from this piece of junk and the SCAM that is being perpatrated by Magnavox and whoever else helped them cook up this scam.

I've even made space for a photo of it and description of how sorry it works on both my myspace.com and facebook.com pages.

Logik recorder - error message - cannot schedule recording, there is already a timer at the same time on this channel. turned the box off at the wall & retuned. Any suggestions? Thank you. x

check programmed recordings you will have a clash possibly in time and date on another channel. If the dvd records two channels at once normally check if it has two channels already set up at the same time to record i the scheduled recordings.
you may have two different channel positions that are the same tv station and have set up two different channels to record the same show. and then you may be trying to record another different channel at the same time. check and delete extra channel schedule.

Another way to have this is as an example say programmed record at channel nine f0r show 1 at 7:30 to 8.35 day xyz and then you set up show 2 to record at channel nine say from 8:30 to 9.35.day xyz this will use two time frames during the overlap from 8:30 to 8:35 on day xyz and if you decide to record a third show you can't between the overlap time frame

I have a Panasonic NV-FJ630B VCR. After several years of successful use, in the last 2 days, it has started failing to initiate recordings at the due time. It accepts programme references in Video Plus+...

Check that the PDC is not on, as this can cause the program to be missed. As the signals can go missing to tell it to record the event. In otherwords it's waiting for a signal that never comes!

RCA model DRC8335 Loosing the date and time

That will be a problem from the text side of the broadcast, the clock is set from the text transmission, ( in other words a problem from the transmitter ) possibly due to digital switchover or work on the transmitters. One possible solution would be to turn off auto clock setting, and/or auto summer time adjustment.

yes it does that when the date you choose is unable to be restored...this might be because files are missing or corrupted ...try again a few times and choose an earlier date ...but ..you will not find any missing or deleted data ...only the settings are restored and the programs...
