I have reformatted my micro sd card, but it wont work!
I have reformatted my micro sd card, put a game on it, put it into my n5 card with a game, but its stuck on a loading page. anyway to get it to work? or do i have to format the n5 card aswell? if so how do i do tht? seeing as for some reason dsn5.com wont work
Re: i have reformatted my micro sd card, but it wont work!
You may have erased its firmware in doing so. it needs firmware to run. go to dsn5.com and click on a link called english(or if the page is in english already, dont) and download the latest firmware, and copy all the files inside the zip files to the n5(but not the zip file, only the files and folder in it.)

Not sure why you are connecting it to a computer? You should be connecting a micro sd card with the card reader provided, so you can copy and paste software including the N5 system software to the micro sd card. Then put the micro sd card in the n5 then the n5 in the ds lite. (the card should show up in my computer and you should be able to format it with FAT32 system)
please post further comments if I am not understanding the problem correctly
If this is a n5 card you can visit the n5 web site and download new software for free all you need to do is clear your sd card toataly and reinstall the required software from the n5 site
Then it will work perfectly.
What flash card do you have. You may have to reformat the Micro SD card then put the Firmware for the Flash Card back on.Oh if you can back up any games and saves you have on the Micro Sd first do that.
1. If you don't already have a micro sd card or reader, then get one. 2. Go to homepage of N5DS (http://www.dsn5.com/EN-N5/n5-en.htm) set language to english on site, go to download, and then download update v 1.19 kernel(English) to desktop. 3. If you don't have winrar to extract rar files go get the english version at rarlabs.com and install it. 4. Extract the kernel for n5ds by right clicking it and click extract. Extract it to the desktop. open the folder until you see the folder with a bunch of files like .dat moonshell and stuff. then connect your micro sd reader to your computer and then put it in micro sd card. Once your computer installs it drag all those files into the micro sd card. Then when you turn it on it should work. What games were you talking about? like nintendogs and stuff? those are commercial roms and I cannot provide ayou a link to. Or was it homebrew games?
listen guys, if u have n5 and u are using a 4gb SDHC you need to upgrade the firmware to 1.18 which is the latest right now. I had the same problem, updated the kernel and it works dam good. Here is the link.
click on N5 and download the v1.18
try doing the same method for r4 but use the r4 kernel. Having the latest kernel can save u lots of problems.
found solution to R5:
download latest firmware (1.19 at present) and unzip
format MicroSD to Fat or Fat32
Copy firmware onto MSD in this order ONE BY ONE !!!!!!
This step is very important!!!!
4. _SYSTEM_ folder
5. moonshl folder
Then load your .nds files into the root.
I've had absolutely no problems with this card so far and if
installed correctly it works brilliantly!!!
