HP L7680 gives error ink in cartridges depleted can not printbut they are full

I had this problem recently after replacing the yellow ink cartridge. After much wrangling with HP, they sent me a new cartridge (since it's date code was not expired) and that seemed to fix that particular issue. You might also try getting a replacement cartridge from the vendor that sold you the one in question since it's likely to be faster and less painful than going to HP directly.

HP L7680 Print Heads need real cleaning!

If the ink has dried up in the nozzles try putting a wet cloth in the microwave to get it hot enough to produce a little steam and set the cartridge, nozzles down on the damp cloth until ink starts to ooze from the cartridge. May require a couple of tries. Try using the cleaning program again.

Be careful not to touch the copper contacts on the cartridges.

Newly Installed 7680

probably you did nothing wring, I seen a few of these cartridges leak - HP should replace the machine if the damage was caused by original cartridges.
