Re: camera switches itself on and off

Hello guest, I know exactly what your fault is, the zoom switch is faulty. the actual switch on the pcb is jammed and is going to need replacing.

What do you mean by flash mode?
Have you read the manual how to use the camera?
If nothing from there helps, try connecting it via USB and check if there is firmware update. If even that doesn't help, try acessing menu and doing hard reset from there.

What does card protected mean?

Wheb you have a SD, SDHC or SDXC memory card and you put the switch to the lock position, the card is protected, That means nothing can change the files that are stored on the card. Not by wiring, not by deleting and not by formatting. Keep the lock with up, towards the golden connection points.
On the picture the 64 GB card is unlocked. `the 32 GB card is locked 8ab871eb-243a-48dd-a8d8-58e5df95d568.jpg

Mys5000 has 'exactly' the same problem. It started randomly and is now continuous... The camera has always been boxed and cared for and is in perfect condition....

Camera loses settings when switched off

There is a small battery that is soldered onto one of the printed circuit boards in the camera. There is a procedure that someone posted on the web (I think I originally found the link on and information on the battery itself. The procedure took maybe an hour from start to finish and afterwards the camera would keep it's settings just like when it was new.

My camera keeps switching itself off!

I ordered some new batteries for it before posting my problem ,a dn after using the new batteries, the problem no longer exists. It seems that my batteries were so run-down that they just couldn't power the lens anymore or the flash at times
