Maestro 3100 touchscreen calibration off

The touchscreen positioning is off on my Maestro 3100. You have to press to the right of something to get it to recognize, and that proves almost impossible for items already on the far right of the screen. I have went through the calibration screen numerous times, done a complete wipe/restore, updated the firmware, even taken it apart to see if the ZIF connector or ribbon cable was damaged which they aren't. The screen isn't cracked or damaged in any way. Any ideas?

Can not calibrate the screen

Here is the procedure to calibrate the screen if you can not reach the calibration screen through the GPS menus.

Nuvi 2xx/2xxW Series: Turn the Nuvi off. Place your finger on the upper left-hand corner of the screen and then slide the on/off power switch to the left and hold until you see the calibration screen. Note: Some 2xxW models require the procedure below for the 7xx.

Nuvi 7xx Series: Turn the Nuvi off. Touch the screen anywhere and keep your finger there while moving the on/off switch to left (don't wait for Garmin logo to come up) and then quickly moving the switch the right (lock position). After a short while, you will reach the calibration screen. Go through the entire procedure of pressing each dot as it appears on the screen until it says "Done".
Now if you go through and press the dots and it keeps looping without saying "calibration complete" then the touchscreen has drifted out of specification and must be replaced.
Please see this link for more information about touchscreens and how to get it replaced.

Maestro 3100 will not change locations. I can be in Nashville, tn and it will have the screen on where I live in Ky.

the satellite are not linking up to your unit..

make sure it has a good charge, with the unit on press and hold the power button for 10 seconds after it shuts off. then press and hold the power button until it restarts.

take the unit outside in clear view of the open sky and let it aquire the saellites, indicated by the green bars in the top right of the map screen.

if they do not turn green, its not linking to the sats and you mgiht have another problem

let me know how you make out, so if it dont work, i can give you something else to try.
