I cannot find a driver for the integrated VGA Controller in a Gateway GM5066E

You can download and install the video driver for your Gateway laptop.
You can download the video and device drivers for your model Gatewaylaptop from this WEB site. Make sure you select your model laptop and thecorrect Windows drivers. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

Have you tried installing the drivers from Gateway? If no, installing the chipset driver and the VGA driver will fix your issue. You can download the drivers from the following links.

Go to the gateway website, look for a support or download section, find the driver download it and install it....that shouuld work
