Try pressing the heated wash then heated dry one after the other about 5 times. this should reset the unit. if the error still shows try the same thing again by turning the machine off for a minute then turning it ON again then retry Try pressing the heated wash then heated dry one after the other about 5 times. if still the same problem then its problem with heated coil
error code for heater system.Coil heats water to temp also used to dry dishes. To work on it safely, pull the D/W out (should be 2 phillips screws into the counter),and leave open the door. This takes the power out of the circuits, allowing you to safely reach under the very back and find the 2 plastic nuts that hold the heater in place.check the wiring connectors there for heat signs.if the wire is burnt right off. If you remove the heater by removing those 2 plastic nuts is easy to replace and costs about $40.Look for traces of water on floor below- dripped a tiny amount(1/2 teaspoon) and was done like dinner. If you remove it the instructions say to replace it. Look for the serviceman's schematic in the paperwork you got with the D/W.If wiring looks ok the element needs replacement. This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

When trying to start my Partner K650, I can only pull the starter cable a very short distance before it snatches back, it feels like too much compression. Any help or advice please. Many thanks, Bob

Hello Bob, I have a Partner K750. It has a compression release valve that screws into a threaded port on the cylinder jug. I push the blue button and pull the starter rope.

If the battery cables were not thoroughly clean they might offer enough resistance to prevent the starter from spinning. That happened to me. I was on the road far from home. I had lights but it won't spin the starter. In fact it was so bad, the lights went off when I hit the starter.

I pulled the seat, removed the cables, scraped them clean with my jackknife, replaced the battery cables and it started right up.

Before you tear into it, double check the kill switch on the right handle grip. next to the start button there is a run switch. Be sure that is pushed down to the run position.

My liftmaster is a 1996 model 1246LM, It opens the door just fine, but when I push the door closed, I have to hold down the button the whole time instead of just press and releasing it to have the door go...

Howdy Bob, W/D here.

There are a couple of possibilities here.
1. The photoelectric eyes are either out of alignment, or one of them is not working, or,
2. The switch itself at the wall may be the issue.

To check the eyes, observe that the indicator lights on the eyes at ankle level on either side of the door are on. If necessary adjust until the lights are steady. Check the wiring connections there; usually (and I don't know why), the wires are usually just twisted together, and are not capped or taped. Make sure that the wiring connections are good, and that the wires are not touching. If the eyes cannot be made to work properly, replace them.
The switch on the wall is designed to either open or close the door, as you well know, but some switches can wear down and actually make contact more than once when the button is pushed; that is, the first push starts the door down, and the signal gets interrupted resulting in a second signal being sent to open the door....
My gut feeling is that your door's problem will be with the eyes, and I'd start with that. From your description, the switch doesn't sound like the problem, and using the remote would eliminate that anyway.
Best regards, --W/D-- Please feel free to rate our solutions so that we may continue to improve in helping others. Thanks.

Self Cleaning Amana wall oven installed in late 1999 Has worked very well until recently when buttons are pushed to do bake, broil, time etc it won't work when time button is pushed to start. What is...

TRY THIS... If the buttons are "stuck", the glass panel may have shifted to the right or left causing the holes in the glass (through which the button protrude) to rub against the glass. VERY CARFULLY try to shift the glass so the buttons are centered in the holes.

The "clean" light is green, flashing.Dishwasher won't restart.

This is due to the water not heating properly. I have put together some instructions on how to reset the control so you can use the dishwasher again and what to check for as to why it failed. Follow the link and let me know if it was helpful.

Starter works intermittantly.push the button &

You need a test light on the starter terminal when it won't start. Attempt the start and if the light comes on, but the motor doesn't, the motor is defective. In that case, remove the starter from the engine and inspect each brush located at the opposite end from the drive for excess wear or weak spring tension that holds the brush in place. Don't rotate the brush 180 degrees when replaced. I don't know if rebuild kits are available--check with a dealer. Hope this helps!

3 beeps and lights flash when I push the start button

The door is not compltely closing. Make sure to push it in hard around the clasp areas. If yours has a light, the light should turn off and on as you open and close the door.
