Replace your burner switch, order with model number, sometimes called an infinite switch. This is a common problem, although we suspect that power surges are causing some of these problems. Appliance Specialists

Control for dual element has to be wiggled just so -so to shut element off, what do I need to fix it? Heats perfectly, shutting it off is my only problem.

The control you're wiggling (infinite switch)needs replacement. Model# and the position of the dual element (right or left, rear or front) is needed to get the part number.

Frigidaire ES340 Range One element from Dual element doesn't work

The elements DO BURN OUT. Replace it.

Often you can see evidence of a hot spot on the element where the final failure occured, but not always.
