Question about Insignia LCDTV26 26 in. Television
We purchased the tv for an ederly woman that needs a simple remote with essentially basic options of on/off, channel up/dn...vol up/dn...that is large and whose input cannot be simply changed from TV to other accessories, eg. dvd..etc.
Go out and buy her one of those super cheap Universal Remotes. They cost less than $10 and work great (if you get a decent one) for just about any TV & LCD TV. And the cheap ones generally don't have all those crazy menu option buttons all over them. There's one I saw at Lowes that looks a lot like a flip-up cell phone. The basic buttons are on the outside and the "extra" buttons are on the inside. I learned just recently that to program an Insignia LCDTV to a Universal Remote you use the Mitsubishi Code.
