We have an InFocus LP70+. we have had a dark strip along the right side of the projected image. That dark strip has spread across so that now we only have a strip of the image along the left side. Not sure how to proceed.

The light tunnel (integrator rod) has collapsed and needs to be replaced. you could either buy the part from an infocus service center or send it in to one for repair. it is, however, a pretty involved repair. if you are mechanically inclined, then try it. otherwise, send it in. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

My LP70 has a shaded area on one side of the projection, Is it the mirror(s)? Can I fix it?

it is the integrator rod (light tunnel) that is collapsing. you can replace it, but it's quite involved. you can get the part (and installation help) from av solutions in ny. they're an infocus service center. or if you want to send it in for repair, they do that too. www.avsolutionsny.com

InFocus LP70 projector is running hot

clean the dust out of it with canned air. the dust keeps in the heat that the projector is trying to expell. it also shortens the life of the lamp.

Lp70 flickers and color wheel chirps at the same time. It's worse with more white in the image. Colored screen shots or dark movies have limited flickering. No issues prior to hookup to computer (Infocus...

it's chirping because it's trying to keep in sync with the dmd chip. for the refresh rate, go into the menu and first reset the settings to factory default. if this doesn't clear it up, try matching the signal.

InFocus LP70 color problem

try resetting the settings to factory default through the menu. if there's still a problem, take the cover off. if you look from the back of the machine, inside on the bottom left, you'll see the main board attached by a large white plug. use something thin and non-metalic to push the bottom of the board towards the plug to tighten it. now do the same to the other side of the plug. this should solve it. if it doesn't, you need to replace the main board.

Infocus LP70 - It's all Green

A tinted image (whether green or another color) is almost always a symptom of a bad or damaged cable - or a loos cable connection. In your case, you'll likely need a new M1 to VGA cable (Part# SP-DVI-A-R).

Assuming that you've made sure that the cable connections are solid at both ends, there is a simple test to verify that this is a cable issue and not a costly projector issue. While the image is tinted green, open the menu. If the menu colors appear fine while the rest of the image is still tinted green it's the cable.

Losing image

i have a very simliar problem, i found a way around it by changing a seeting in the advanced options. somehow, my horizontral position was changed from wahtever the default was to 88, which set it too far to the left. set it back to 50 and while the image was good, the menu is still in the oddly placed area....oh well....hopefully it's not the bulb, i just changed the damn thing less than a year ago
