Huge paper jam ( piece of a checkbook)

The shredder is jammed with a big chunk of paper put in by accident, is there a way to take the top apart to remove the paper jam?

Throw it out and buy a new one! staples won't replace this unit and your gonna have to take it apart and clean the gears.
Also tell your employees to stop reversing the drive gears with paper inside the bucket it only reverses the flow and jams the unit.
I would buy a cross cut shredder next time.
