IRiver MP3 Player Not Inisializing
If you haven't already I would try an emergency connect.
-First perform a standard reset as you did before (press rear button for 20GB or disconnect & reconnect the battery for the 5/6GB versions).
-Leave the unit turned off, but connect it to your computer's USB port.
-Hold down the "o" button and then press the power button for a second to power on the device.
-Do not release the "o" button until you see a message such as "emergency connect" or "mass storage" on the player screen. I beleive the message has changed with firmware versions, but it should be something similar.
-If this works it should be detected by your computer as an external drive. You should have access to the files.
-I would remove all music files from the device and then use the iriver plus software to restore system files.
-If you manage to get to this point I would install the newest firmware available for your model of H10, found at the iriver site. The newest firmware adds a lot of functionality, speeds up player response significantly, and fixes many bugs as well.
