The first thing I would check are wires. Possible there is a broken wire or a loose connection. in your case mostly the pump motor or shut off valve is faulty and needs replacement.you can get required parts from www.repairclinic.com Some dishwasher designs use a pump-motor assembly where the pump and motor are built (and replaced) together as a unit. In this design, the pump is external to the dishwasher tub. Other dishwashers designs have a separate motor (external) connected to an internal pump (located just below the spray arms inside the tub. Each design has advantages and disadvantages.
Pump-motor assembly units usually do not develop leaks from the tub gasket, but are prone to leakage from the pump itself. In this case, the entire pump-motor assembly must be replaced.
Units with a separate motor are prone to leakage from the main tub-to-motor gasket. If the leakage continues for long, the motor bearings will rust and the motor must be changed out. Older Kitchenaids/ Frigidaire and lower end Whirlpool/Kenmores are subject to this failure.
Leaks

  • Using too much soap. Run dishwasher without soap and see if leak still occurs. If not, then reduce soap usage or change soaps altogether.
  • Worn door gasket. Test by operating dishwasher and see if leak stops while pushing on the door.
  • Worn tub-to-motor gasket. Remove motor and replace gasket.
  • Leaking pump/motor assembly. Replace entire assembly.
  • Debris caught in spray arm. Remove spray arm and clean out with water and compressed air.
  • Worn or split spray arm hub assembly .
  • Split spray arm. Replace.
No Pumpout
  • Worn drain impeller on models without a drain solenoid.
  • Defective drain solenoid on units so equipped. Most common on GE/Hotpoint /Frigidaire dishwashers.
  • Clogged drain line, usually at the disposal inlet connection if dishwasher connects there.
No Water Into Dishwasher
  • Defective water inlet solenoid. Run ohms check, should be 20 to 50 ohms. If electrically bad, it'll read open. Valves can also fail due to sediment damage and freezing damage. Be sure to test valve both electrically and mechanically to determine its status. Valve may check good on an ohms test but may fail after repeated activations due to fatigue. Check using a test cord to repeatedly energize and de-energize the valve.
  • Defective overflow float switch. Test continuity.
  • Overflow float switch stuck or debris caught under float preventing it from closing the float switch and energizing the fill valve. Most common in Kitchenaides.
  • Timer not energizing water fill circuit. Live test using volt meter and checking for presence of 120v at appropriate pin of the timer.
Runs Too Long
  • Defective thermostat. This problem will become apparent with the water heat option selected. Check by running the dishwasher with this option de-selected and see if it proceeds normally through the cycle.
  • Timer not advancing through cycle.
Hums Then Shuts Off
  • Motor is seized. Replace motor.

Con you check to see if the insulation over the top and sides of the dishwasher was touching the floor and wicked up enough water to get wet? That would reduce the sound dampening characteristics. It is also possible that the hose being shaken off was caused by an issued with something jamming the pump; check the drain grates to see if there is anything you can pull out.

Try pouring water from the front. The pump has got air traps inside. This will ease your problem.

Also check whether the spray arm turns freely without any obstacles.

I have a dishwasher when i put the detergent in it, the detergent doesn't dissolve while its washing. i often have to rewash the dishes, and it still doesn't dissolve.

Either:

1. the water does not get into the dishwasher open the dishwasher 3-4 times during cycle, you should see some water at least once, if not - check water valve, water level float and water pressure.
2. the pump is clogged - there is water, the motor will run but no water is circulated. Check pump filters, check chopper and impeller.
3. motor in main pump is not working - could be caused by something stuck on the impeller or chopper or could be a problem with the motor itself or control board. Check if line voltage is coming to the motor during wash/rinse cycle.

Good luck,

Water runs during final spin cycle

You have a blockage in the drain pump. Remove the front panel to access the drain pump.
Bail the water from the tub.
Remove the hoses on the pump and clean out the lint or garment from the pump.

Bosch dishwasher has water in bottom after cycle is complete

Hi

Kindly check for the following :

Check for hose kinks or food plugging drain hose. Start at the drain port exit.
Check the check valve and drain hose for debris.
Check pump motor for reversing during the pump out make sure the dishwasher is pausing between the wash and drain cycles letting the pump/motor reverse for the drain cycle.
Check pump motor assembly for a drain solenoid, during the pump out make sure the solenoid makes that distinctive "clunk" noise
If you have recently installed a new garbage disposal, check knock-out plug at connection.

Check pump impeller for damage.
Check that the water inlet valve isn't seeping fresh water into the dishwasher when off.

Please contact for any further clarifications.

A Fixya Rating would be appreciated if.

Thanks

Dishwasher not pumping the water out?

hi
the larger motor housing underneath the unit is what moves the water around to wash, the smaller pump is the drain pump, if you don't hear that running it is likely in need of replacement. check your paper work for warranty, if it's out of warranty try to find a deal online and it's relatively easy to replace

Dishwasher Repair

Ebers, you have a seperate wash and drain motor on this model. When you remove the bottom panel the drain pump will be on the right and the circulation (wash) pump will be in the rear. You are going to have to verify that you have power getting to the wash motor. Sometimes this is difficult without removing the dishwasher. The motor may have a quick connect harness going to it that you can check voltage there. If you have voltage to the motor during the wash cycle and it's not running, well, there's the problem. If no voltage, then it's probably a timer issue. Catriver..post back
