The paper gets crinkled like an accordian just before it prints out. This problem just started a week ago. Is there an adjustment screw that needs to be tightened? Mike 540-635-2755

    Thanks, Taran

for the comment. The Replace Fuser Unit message hasn't come on. How do I know if it's the Fuser Unit or the Transfer Roller that needs to be replaced?

    Thanks again!

How do I stop the paper from crinkling prior to printing in Canon D320

check the whole paper flow. special look out for things in the printer that don't belong there, like a paperclip or screws of paper.
sometimes things fall in a printer and can spot all the fun.

When I hit print when the paper starts to feed the pushbar paper feed does so fast causing the paper to start slightly off caqusing a paper jam.. Is there anyway to adjust the feed

When the paper does not feed straight, dirty or stickyrollers can cause it to jamb or crinkle, also failure to remove all traces ofpaper from a previous paper jamb will cause further paper jambs.
Check for tiny pieces of at the edges of the rollers, and remove these piecesof paper. The rollers may be dirty or sticky and causes the paper tonot feed straight.
Try cleaning the rollers with methylated spirits.

Only on Quicken to 3210 all-in-one printer. Paper starts to feed then indicates paper jam, wait long enough and paper feeds with crinkle and no print.

I would check the paper path on the printer where it is crinkling the paper. More than likely there is some small piece of paper or something that is causing it. Does it only do this out of quicken? I wouldn't think so if the paper comes out damaged....

Paper is coming out wrinkled in one spot

Most of the crinkled paper issues I deal with have to do with the fuser roller lining going bad. If this is your issue the crinkle will be a vertical line from the leading edge to the trailing edge. You will need a new fuser.

Constant Paper Jam

I have the accordion paper jam problem as well, almost all the printout got jammed. So I opened the back panel and unscrew 2 screws and take out the part with the small plastic roller and clean those. Then I also see a rubber roller on the ceiling of that area and cleaned and rubbed them with a damp cloth and rolled them several times. Now it's been 2 weeks of jam free printing! Back to being happy customer...

PAPER CRINKLING

First check the paper path for something in the paper path. Staple, paper clip, etc, causing the paper to twist. Reseat the imaging unit and see if the transfer unit is seated properly.
But, What sounds most likely is that the fuser needs to be replaced. The rollers are most likely getting pretty bad inside that unit.
If I recall correctly, it is in the $200 range to replace.

Martin Yale Paper Folder Problem

Im not familiar with a paper folder but if its anything like a printer, it probably has a maintenance kit you can buy or you may have to replace the rollers. Alot of the times they have a rubber grabber that wears out or a roller that gets dirty and doesnt catch the paper evenly and pulls it through at an angle, crinkling it. Check for debree or paper particles that may be floating around inside.

Crinkled paper

It sounds like a fuser problem. You may have something stuck in it, or the lower roller could be defective. You may have to replace the fuser.

Paper will not feed correctly, keeps jamming up.

There IS something stuck in the feed path. If the paper starts to feed and then crinkles on the feed side, there is an object stopping the paper moving forward.

Lay the machine on it's back and take a sheet of very stiff card (A5 size approx) and push it through the paper path in reverse. So start where the paper would normally exit and push the card in. You may need to lift the pinch rollers just behind the print head by hand to aid the card through. Keep the card to the side that would normally crinkle but beware of the paper sensor flag. If you force it you could break it off.

Once you get past the pinch rollers behind the print head, push a little further then start to move the card in and out but along the length of the rollers. You should find that sufficient to push out whatever is in the path and having the machine on it's back will help it fall clear of the feed mechanism.

If it does not fall out using this method you will have to remove the covers and try to remove the ASF to get at the object.
