The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: only printing 1/2 a label

recalibrate the printer in the set up.
Don't just do a quick cal from the front panel.
Make sure your driver is the correct dpi zebra driver, either zebra or my preferred seagull scientific.
by .5 of the label, do you mean width or heigth.
If it is heigth, check to make sure you are set for top of print correctly. Also you will have to back feed for a label that short.

SOURCE: zebra zm4 won't print labels all the way.

Please check your driver settings, you will probably find that you have the printer set to use the 2x2 labels instead of the 2x4

It sounds like the printer is not calibrated. This procedure is in the users guide. Make sure both labels and ribbon are loaded correctly and then perform this procedure. If you do not have the manual or still have issues, email me at hilster1968@gmail.com for the procedure.

Why is the text printing on Zebra LP 2844-Z label incorrectly spaced?

Zebra printers are not really made to print PDF files, if the only option is PDF I'd recommend switching to print on a laser. Also open the PDF and see if they are correct in the original doc

No gap detected

This could be caused by a couple of issues:
  • Dirty sensor (use compressed air and blow out printer)
  • Wrong media (using labels with black bars obscuring the gap and making it non-readable by sensor)
  • Wrong label format for size of labels used (make sure label size matches the template size)

How to calibrate the label in QL320 plus zebra printer? How to make it only feed 1 label per print?

create a text file called Calibrate.txt and in the text file type this:
~JC
^XA
^JUS
^XZ

then send the file to the printer using label vista.
this will then print 3 - 4 labels and stop.
once u press the feed button it will only feed one label.

Have a Zebra 105SE that prints the FEED test just fine, but will not print the PAUSE test nor will it print a bar code label from the computer. The FEED test prints vertical bar codes while the PAUSE test...

Check to see if the pause light is on also. Make sure you are using the correct printer driver. (105se)
Try in ZPL and then try in ZPLII.
Check Delimiter character 2CH
Check Format prefix 5EH
Check Control prefix 7EH

The printer will print a bar code but the reader will not read it. the reader reads the bar code from a second printer just fine

Sounds like there are some elements worn off of the printhead causing some of the bars to not be printed. To test, create a label that prints a thick black line or solid black box across the width of the label (assuming a 4" label). Any vertical white lines that show indicate elements that are not functioning.
You could also put one label above the other, lining up the barcodes and you'll probably see bars that are missing from the label that won's scan.
The only ways to correct the problem are to install a new printhead or move the barcode field on the label so that the missing elements fall in the spaces between the bars.

Hope that helps !

Zebra QL420 portable printer label gets misaligned frequently

There are two things to consider here: 1) Is the printer set to the correct media handling setting? Look in the manual for the terms BAR-SENSE and GAP-SENSE and make sure that you have sent the correct command to the printer. 2) There is a TOF or Top of Form setting that you can send to the printer to align the perforation of the labels with the tear bar. Look for the syntax in the manual, which is free for download at zebra.com, and make sure that your perfs line up with your tear bar.

Powers down after every print

There is a setting in the all CPCL based Zebra mobile printers called "DTR Power Off". You will need to turn disable this. It sounds like you are printing through the serial connection based on your brief issue description.
Connect to the printer with serial cable and run the Label Vista application, free from Zebra.com. If your printer is a Q3C or Q3D configuration, you can connect with a mini USB cable, but you will have to install the driver. If you have a Q3A or Q3B configuration, you must to use the serial cable (PN: BL11757-001) to connect to your PC.

Once in Lavel Vista, click on the Printer drop down and choose the COMM Port Settings option. Select the correct value for your connection type. Next, select Printer Settings from the Printer drop down. Go over to the Port tab and click the disable button under the DTR Power Off section. Click apply. If this does not work, also check your inactivity timeout setting as well as your battery level setting in the batery tab od the same screen. I set mine to "0" because I dont want my printer turing itself off for any reason.

Zebra 2844 Not printing at all

Antztech,
if the red light is coming on and staying on, it might be a sensor problem. Try pushing on the lid and see if the light goes to green. If it does, it' s the gap sensor. This is how the printer "reads" the labels gaps-the little spaces between the labels. We've solve this in the short term by covering the sensor and manually setting the gap through the programming command prompt,
