The problem is not the switch. there must a loose or several loose connections in the lights or wiring between the lights. The only way i can think of to fix this problem is to check the socket (first) in each light, then the connections of the wire that runs between the lights. Remove the bulb and pull the round trim cover off the fixture. You should then be able to access the socket and possibly the wire connections. put the bulb back in and gently wiggle it and see if the bulb flickers on, if not access the wire connections further up in the fixture and check those.

I have a harbor breeze ceiling fan on a dimmer

You have 3 options. You can connect the fan blue and the fan black to the red ceiling wire. Then you will need to control the fan and light with the strings. The wall switch will turn off everything. Option 2 is make sure that there is a switch wired to the black ceiling wire. If there is a switch I would check to make sure the switch is working. Option 3 is to purchase a remote control unit for both and leave the wall switch to shutoff the whole unit. Hope this helps.

I have a dimmer switch installed and it wont work with the celing fan

Your question has two switches and 1 dimmer.
The fan switch works.
The light switch works.
The dimmer does not. What is the dimmer connected to?
Dimmers typically will not control fan speed unless they are rated to do that.
Do you have a 3-way switching where two switches control same light, and you installed the dimmer in place of 3-way switch?

I believe my power source is in the ceiling. I just want to wire a light but use a leviton switch and dimmer at the wall. Can't figure this one out. Can you help. There are two red wires, one black and...

Question needs more details. Let me answer as if you have one light and one switch, and one cable coming into switch box from ceiling.

Usually a switch-dimmer combo operates 2 different Loads (lights).
One light is controlled by switch, other by dimmer.

If power source is in ceiling, then one cable enters switch box.
Cable has black, white and ground wires
Old switch had 2 brass screws where black and white wires connect
Black wire brings Hot down from ceiling, and white wire connects back to Load (fan).
Neutral wires are in ceiling box, and not inside switch box, and are discussed.

With new dimmer: Black Hot wire from ceiling connects to dimmer black wire.
White Load wire connects to one of the red wires.
The other red wire goes to another Load, which is unknown at this point.

Add a comment for more free help. Say what cables and wires enter box, and what Loads you are controlling. Also add exact model number so expert can reference manual. Levition instruction sheets and manuals usually have toll free number.

Also take advantage of fixya expert assistance live.

I just installed a chandelier. This is a new connection. So I ran a 3 wire from the chanderlier to a new lutron slide dimmer. I then ran a 2 wire from this dimmer to the switch. When I turned the...

Lutron Dimmer manuals
http://www.lutron.com/Service-Support/Technical/InstallationInstructions/Pages/InstallationInstructions.aspx?syst=Dimmers+%26+Switches&prodn=Maestro%C2%AE+dimmer+%26+switch

Lutron manuals show a couple things that might be affecting you lights.
1) Wattage: If you have wrong wattage dimmer
2) Type of light bulb: Dimmers work on different types of bulbs
3) Wiring: You say you got 3 wires going to the chandelier? Why you got 3 wires? Is this a 3 way switch? Are the chandelier bulbs wired separately so you can control groups of bulbs with different switches?
Does the dimmer have 3 screws? A dark-colored screw and 2 brass screws? If so, then that sounds like a 3-way dimmer. A 3-way, is where more than one switch controls the same light.

Does the dimmer have 2 screws? Then that dimmer controls a single circuit. Your black Hot wire from breaker box connects to one screw and the black wire to Load connects to other screw.
A quick glance at Lutron wiring manual shows that Hot and Load wires connect to either screw.
The question is your 3-wires from the chandelier ... does the black Hot wire from breaker arrive in the ceiling box first? Or does it arrive in the wall box first? If your Hot arrives in ceiling box, then the Hot must come down to the switch box and connect to a screw on the dimmer >>> a second wire connects to other screw on dimmer and travels up to the ceiling box where it connects to black wire on chandelier. The white wire on chandelier connects to white Neutral.
4) Dimmer might be bad

If the legrand dimmer 400w - pro21 can function with led dimmable light "philips master led spot "

The answer is NO. You need a Trailing Edge dimmer to control LEDs.

The Phillips master LED spot manual says
:
Lighting controls: bulbs are dimmable 20-100% with ""select"" Trailing Edge RC devices
http://www.prismaecat.lighting.philips.com/FredhopperPDFWebServiceInter/docts/1d8ea75f-e889-424d-92dc-450fbeb85f6a/Smart_LED_Spot_da.pdf

The Legrand pro21 manual does not say anything about being a Trailing edge dimmer.
http://www.legrand.com.gr/gr/gr/liblocal/internet_greece/PDFS/NOTICES/IOBL/ROOSTATES/775637EN.pdf

Legrand diagrams show what appears to be incandescent bulbs, and say nothing about LEDs

LEDs cannot be dimmed as ordinary incandescent (tungsten) bulb.

We have two seperate light switches. One is a dimmer. The fan is currently working off of the dimmer switch. Is this because the red wire should have been hooked up with the power source (Black wire)...

The dimmer normally controls a light which is 100 watts or so. The dimmer is rated for only so much load.It is only a fire hazard if the dimmer is overloaded by a fan and light that draws alot of current. Some fans have a light and 2 pull chains, one for fan speed and another for the light itself. There is usually only one power source for the fan.If it is a split design, then the light can be run off the dimmer, and the fan off of the switch. If you want to vary the fan speed with the dimmer ,make sure it is rated for at least the load rating.
