    Hi lala linda,
I've put in a brand new 2GB chip of DDR2 800 RAM. All that is connected is a 40GB HDD, keyboard, mouse and DVD burner. When I boot up, it does a quick IDE scan and then goes into this SME Server boot up sequence. Hope this info helps. Rong1

Foxconn 945G7MA-8EKRS2 Motherboard will not post with pentium d cpu ,i have even updated with the lates bios flash,

Good day,
According to Intel 945G chipset supports Celeron D up to Core2Duo. Intel Gigabyte's 945 DS3 even supports up to Core2Quad. GByte Foxconn has 3 mobo bios from there site. Foxconn
According to their date: Latest to oldest
4BFF1P56 No Version 4BFF1P40
Have you tried installing the no version bios? In my experience some latest bios have some problems with other devices so try to use the no version bios. or try a different mobo bios with the same chipset from Foxconn. below are two foxconn mobo models i can't see the difference.

I have 2 IDE Hard drive but my board only picks one at IDE1 how to enable both at same time

you will have to set one as a slave or set as a raid pair
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS the scroll down to advanced bios features press enter change your first boot device to cd,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart
(note after you have loaded the operating system you must go back and change the first boot device to your hard drive)
The BIOS is AMI. Under ADVANCED SETUP:
The options listed for 1st,2nd ,3rd Boot device include:

IDE-0 means Pri master ?
IDE-1 means Pri slave ?
IDE-2 means Sec master ?
IDE-3 means Sec slave ?

hope this helps

Im trying to install agp...how do i disable the on board vga

Hi there.
Remember that if you are swapping from on-board graphics to a card you have to go into the BIOS and tell the machine that the primary graphics adapter is AGP/PCI Express.
Plug the VGA cable into the on-board graphics port, start the computer and enter the BIOS, tell the computer to use the AGP/PCI card as primary, press F10, save the changes and exit the bios.
The computer will try and restart so let it boot to post and turn it off, then put in your card and try to boot again.
Please post back if you need more help or advice.

Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

No on board graphics after power up.

there are only a few things i can think of that might help. recheck to make sure all of the power supply cables are plugged in, although im sure that you've allready done that. you don't wan't to clear cmos due to the fact that you only do that if you are going to reflash it. could mke it unbootable. try going in to cmos and enabling quick boot this bypasses POST test and might get you in. also try reinstallling the Operating system as this load drivers for your display. the only other thing is you might have recieved a faulty motherboard, this happens mor frequently than you might think.

hope this helped.
please rate good.
best of luck.

Well to start, you do not give enough info ,for example what was you doing to the pc when this happened, was you installing the o/s, however try the following.
Ensure that all connections to the board are in, check ram is seated fully into its slot, check that the cpu & fan are installed correctly, infact remove everything and start again, maybe you will need to re-install your operating system, if infact you had already installed it .
good luck
