Question about HP MP2210 XGA 1500 LUMENS Multimedia Projector

1 Answer

I have a HP mp2210 digital projector and I hooked it up to my Dell D610 laptop and the picture from the screen on my computer won't show up on the projector. Just a blue screen unless I push the buttons and it says "Set up" with a video camera in the top right corner showing. How can I get it to show my screen?

Hook-up from d610 to tv

It is possible that your laptop drives EITHER its own display OR an extrnal monitor such as your TV. Look for a Screen Swap key on the laptop keyboard. It is usually a "Fn" key and requires you to hold down the "Fn" (Function) key whilst you tap the screen swap key. This key usually has a small picture of two screens seperated by a / . Hope this helps. Ian.

The display cuts off the bottom quarter of the image

you have a weird display resolution set somewhere on the laptop. The vplcs7 is relatively old. It only supports 800 x 600 (SVGA). If you are cloning your monitor, you need to set the output to the projector also to 800x600. Depending on how your laptop is configured you may need to set your laptop monitor to 800x600 while using the projector, then going back to the normal resolution when you are finished.

Need to connect my dell laptop to a large screen projector using a computer video interface for vga and compatible computers I have a delllatitude d610 the interface is an inline2080

I assume you know how to connect the VGA cable and which function key is used to activate the second display. You will have problems if the laptop display size is not supported by the projector. Many older projectors will not work with wide screen laptops.
when you connect the projector, Just press the presentation mode on your keyboard, Fn + (Presentation Key), Sometimes F5 or F8!

Then you will see your desktop on the projector screen.hope this helps

Hooking projector

You will probably need a standard VGA cable. The ends look like the connection for a monitor. Take a look if you don't know what I'm talking about: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VGA_connector

There should be a port on your laptop and one on the projector. After it's hooked up you might have to toggle between the projection settings or select the correct source on the projector. Normally, there is a source or input button on the projector. If the picture isn't showing up on the projector but is on the laptop or vice versa, you'll need to toggle between settings. On my dell, it is fn (function) and the F8 key but sometimes it's the F7 key or some other F? key, just look for the LCD/CRT on the function button or the picture of a monitor looking thing. This is only if you don't see the image from the projector. Hope this helps you out!

Dell 2200mp searching for signal

One problem may be that you must tell the PC to send the signal to the external monitor. Usually, if you hold down the function button and hit the F5 key you will see several options on the screen. (Other laptops use different function keys. Look for the one that shows two tv screens. You want the option which shows the laptop and the external monitor.) To advance between options, you hit the F5 button again and it moves over to the next option.

My computer needs me to lower the resolution on the laptop in order to send the signal to the projector. If you also need to do that, you can do it in Control Panel, Display, and Settings, and lower the resolution on screen number 1.

Doing both of these things should work.

Also, confirm that it is finding signals by hooking it to a DVD or video and see if it finds the signal through one of the other ports.
