Shouldn't really matter. 3 is in and 4 is out. There is sometimes a 6 aswell as this is a constant feed for a light in the fridge.

Wher do i find a thermal switch for whirlpool water heater

1) Call whirlpool and give product type, model number, and serial number that shows on label on side of unit.

2) For gas: Likely they will send whole assembly

3) For electric thermal switch, just replace upper thermostat.

4) Repost question and include information on label

5) Call service technician

Installed a new Filtrete thermostat on a new Carrier high-efficiency furnace. I followed instructions exactly. It doesn't work. What did I do wrong? Furnace was installed in December. Broom handle...

Hi smargyle,

Welcome to fixya!

I can provide you with diagrams for the old Carrier therm and for the new Filtrete therm. But, I would need to know what the model numbers are for each therm plus how many speeds AC you have.

Please reply back with that information and we will get your AC back in working order.

U-line 75R was not cold. Shorting the two wires at the thermostat, the motor runs and starts to get cold. Replaced the thermostat, but it didn't run at all. Please help. Thanks

There is a slight possibility that the unit's defrost timer just happen to be in defrost when you replaced the temperature control. Try advancing the defrost timer (or just let it sit for about 1/2 an hour and see if it comes back on). If you have more questions, let me know. Hope this helps!

Refrigerator compressor motor will not run.

Does the fan work? If yes then the compressor has a relay and overload that might be bad. Or it could be a compressor that is bad. If its a compressor then you will need to have a tech verify that it is the problem. If nothing is running then it could be a thermostat thats not switching it on. Let me know if you need any more help with it.

Switching old thermostat to Hunter thermostat model 44155c

By describing the wires from your new thermostat and your old one, it sounds like your new thermostat is not compatible with your system. If you have seven wires now, then you more than likely have a heat pump system and you have to get a thermostat that is compatible with this type of system. Then you will have the connections you need.
