Re: red light blinks after beep

Try resetting it. when you turn on the unit hold the power button until you hear three beeps and release.

if that doesnt work, sounds like you have the YLOD. might mean a bad power supply

Can I play movie discs in my wii?

If it's hacked you can play movie discs, if not just if the movie is in DivX, Avi, MPG or MOV format and you play them from a SD card.

Downloading movies to psp

I would recommend using this FREE software. It converts files to the proper format that the PSP supports and also manages the files between your PC and PSP.

Fix the 80010514 error on your PS3

If your Play Station 3 (PS3) gets the 80010514 error somewhere, you can try this to resolve the problem:

1. Make sure that the power indicator on the Play Station 3 system is solid red. To do this, press and hold the power button until the PS3 beeps and the light blinks. Once the light has turned solid red, turn the power switch in the back off.

2. Turn the switch back on, then press and hold the power button.

3. Keep holding the power button even after you hear a short beep after 5 seconds.

4. After 10 seconds, you will hear another short beep and the system will shut down (release the button at this point).

5. Press and hold the power button again.

6. Continue holding the power button even after you hear a short beep after 5 seconds.

7. Release the button when two short beeps are emitted after 7 seconds.

8. As instructed by the on-screen message, plug in the controller and press the PS button

9. Select restore Play Station 3 system.

This should not affect any of your save games, demos, etc. but just to be safe you might want to back up to an external USB hard drive.

To backup saves, go to the Play Station 3 Save Data Utility, select the save you wish to copy and hit the Triangle button. Copy should come up as one of the options. If it does not then the save game is copyright protected and can’t be copied. If you can copy it, make sure you have a USB drive attached and copy it to that.

I cant open movie

If your are talking about a xbox 360 console and you can't play a movie, sometimes its because the movie isn't in one of the supported video formats or is copyright protected. Here are some of the movie formats the 360 will support:
.m4v .mp4v .mov .avi (newer .avi files) .DivX .wmv
You may want to get movies in these formats, or get a converter to convert the format into one of these that will play on your 360, hope this helps!

I need to find out how to update this system its a brand new system and i want to watch movies off of the flash drive can you help me

Plug your xbox 360 in to a router with internet access or alternatively use a wireless network if you are able using the instructions provided on the xbox 360.
It should update automatically to the latest version of software.
Currently the xbox 360 supports file formats of AVI, WMV, MPEG - 4 Part 2, H.264 and QuickTime movie formats. The file extensions included are as follows: .avi, .divx, .wmv, .mp4, .m4v, .mp4v, and .mov.
Make sure that the movie you want to play is on of these formats.
To check the format that the movie is in, just view its properties window.
There are many video converters out there that will allow you to change the format of a movie if it is no compatible. Simply go to and search for "video converter" or "movie converter".
Hope this helps!

I inserted a new movie and I have no sound nor video with a green and blue lights on.

I had this weird problem yesterday knowing I have not done any video setting changes, nor recall a pending software installation. When I start the PS3, green light comes up and then nothing happens. Insert the Game into the slot, blue light blinks and again nothing happens. No video, no sound, and no, it’s not output setting problem as many others have guessed in forums. Try to assign your wireless controller and you’ll know. It doesn’t. If it was on, output and controller assigning I assume should be two separate things.
  1. With the PS3 in Standby mode (Red light on), press and hold the Start button until you hear a single beep, followed by double beeps.
  2. Connect the controller using USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.
  3. Now, the system restore screen (or whatever they call it) will come up like this

  4. You have several options here for restoring the system, some will unfortunately wipe up all your data, others will make you lose the file naming. For me, I tried the option top-bottom and eventually had to do the Restore PS3 System. Luckily, all I had were demos, trailers, and game saves. only game I was really playing now was Prince of Persia. I felt terrible still though, but much better than if I was playing Ninja Gaiden or MGS right? Or let’s say a game Fallout!
Sharing it for others with same misfortune. Guess we’ll need the PS3 included in the backup plan then.
