How to upgrade a toshiba L305 to a 500gb hard without hardware failure error

I'm a bit confused? You are trying to install a HDD with Windows 7 on it from another computer in a Toshiba L305 laptop? If that's correct, it will not work, first, you must format the 500GB SATA HDD, then load the Windows 7 OS to get a clean install. Clarify the question if I am incorrect.

For starters try testing if it boots without the new ram. If it does then your new ram is either incompatible ram or dead. Test it out with memtest86+ one stick at a time if you have multiple sticks.

If your Windows7 work in x64 operating system, of course it would be incompatibility if you use driver for XP in it, since Windows XP use x32 system, that's where the problem come from (I've faced the same problem sooo many times for several software) . You need to check your OS first (push Windows and Pause Break button together to see it) and make sure which one is your OS, 32 or 64 bit OS? If you have 64 bit OS, for any software that you want to download from internet, you must choose that support 64 bit OS. Some of x32 software still installable in Win7 64 bit, but yes, other software need us to spend some bucks to download them.
If you upgrade your Windows7 you may use XP Mode that allow you to install XP driver or software in Win7 based PC, but once again, ITS NOT FREE !!

Hope this help and be kind to rate please.

What cause freezing and hanging in computer systems?

hi

freezing up of a computer system is typically caused by incompatible software to hardware or a hardware not recognised by the operating system (OS) . usually a conflict like this is illustrated by error message of blue screen , if its video or memory related.
i would say you may have a corrupt OS installed , in which case, i would reinstall the fresh OS
and work your way up to installing the peripheral drivers.

what is your computer model and what OS are you using ? i can further assist you

There is a possibility that the USB stick may not be compatible with the new operating system. You should first contact Sprint to verify that it will work with your OS. Give them the model number of the broadband stick and the name of your operating system and whether it is 32 or 64-bit. If it is compatible, they should also be able to direct you in the correct procedure to install the device.

The new RAM module could be faulty or the second memory slot is faulty.
Try removing the original 1Gb memory module and inserting the new memory module in its place to see if the computer boots up normally. If it doesn't then then new memory module is faulty.

I am running Vista as my OS. When I try to boot

Did you just upgrade to Vista? This type of error usually indicates an incompatible hardware device. If you did not then if you have the Vista install cd/dvd, boot from that and select repair from the menu.

To be honest, there are only two options.

1. Go to the sierra online website and see if you can get a 64 bit version of the game

2. Get an entirely new OS of windows (a 32 bit version) and then try installing

You might want to disable the WiFi that is built into your laptop before installing that device. It is very possible that the built in WiFi is conflicting with that Wireless Broadband Device.
