Not sure about yours, but some of these one lifts the rubber pad to get access to the belt through holes in the platter when you are re-installing to get the belt back on the hub it runs on. One usually has to lift the platter off to get the belt around the center hub and the motor pulley first..

You can probably find the belts online with a Google search.

SOURCE: the turntable motor runs but

most platters are secured with a c clip in the middle --gently prying it off should allow the platter to be removed--than a little dexterity is required to reattach the belt to the pulley and around the bottom of the platter--if the belt is broken or stretched you can pursue a replacement at mcm electronics .com

I received a SONY PS-LX250H turntable with the drive belt off. Where do I route the drive belt to get it back on?

The Operating and Install Guides are here...

http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&externalId=C310321&fes=true&mdl=PSLX250H

Follow this procedure to install the belt on the turntable.
  1. Lift up on the dust cover [FIG. 1] and remove it from the turntable base [FIG. 1].
  2. Remove the rubber mat [FIG. 1] from the platter [FIG. 1].
  3. Lift the platter straight up off the spindle [FIG. 1].
  4. Slip the drive belt around the under side of the platter [FIG. 2]. IMPORTANT: Line up the ribbon that is attached to the belt with the square opening near the edge of the platter .
  5. Place the platter back on the spindle .
  6. Spin the platter so the square opening on the platter is over the motor pulley [FIG. 1].
  7. Stretch the drive belt [FIG. 3] over the motor pulley by pulling the attached ribbon [FIG. 3].
  8. Remove the ribbon from the drive belt .
  9. Reinstall the rubber mat and the dust cover .

Sony Belt Drive Turntable Platen speed

Check for grease on the platter or anywhere in the mechanism. Sometimes somebody has messed around with the speed preset, there might be two. You could try adjusting them. Sometimes they are found on the underside of the turntable, covered up, or they will be on the PC board of the deck.

Music sounds warped. like it has a spot were it slows down. thanks

Sounds like the belt is slipping, and needs to be replaced (this is a normal replacement item - like tires & brakes on a car).

I googled "PS-LX250H belt" and found http://www.elexatelier.com/sony.htm has the belt. You should be able to find other suppliers (even locally) too.

What size belt does a Sony PS-LX300H USB turntable use?

These replacement parts are purchased for the model turntable that they are to be installed in. They are not generic and are not bought by "size" as say a fan belt for a car would be. I googled "Sony PS-LX300H Belt" and got:
