1 Answer

Honeywell VisionPRO IAQ Equipment Interface Module error codes 053- "faulty outdoor temperature sensor" and 089- "heating/cooling equipment missing". No heat after pipe above furnace broke and water may have dripped on the unit. Can I reset the system and get the heat back on without a technician coming out?

Hi,
Yes you can manually get the furnace to start.
Find the control board for your furnace. Usually it is in the bottom return plenum area. If you just follow the low voltage wires from the E I M they will lead you to the control board.
On the board you will see a row of terminals labeled R, W, Y G and amybe some more letters depending on your unit.
With the power off to the unit Unhook the wires to the R terminal and the W terminal, The install a jumper wire from the R terminal to the W terminal.
Turn the power back on and the furnace will start. You will have to turn it off and on manually but you will at least have heat....

I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!

Thanks for using Fixya!!

I have a Honeywell VisionPRO IAQ thermostat. Heat won't kick on automatically, thermostat keeps saying 'wait. Can turn system off, back on and works. Is there something I can do to fix it?

Have you tried reseting the system by throwing the breaker waiting a minute then restarting? Turning it off and on at the keypad isn't the same thing. That has happened to me and the program glitched. I'm not sure what is being displayed on the screen, so am not sure what you have done, partially completed a scheduling program, etc. However, I found the manual online.
www.manualslib.com/manual/782319/Honeywell-Visionpro-Iaq.html?page=2#manual
You can look through it and see if there is something in there you aren't/are doing to keep it from working properly. There is also a 1800 number for assistance from Honeywell if your still stuck. Hope this helps.

Why is it showing error code 90?

Sounds like a all the bells and whistles thermostat, why did you chose that one?
090 Data interface is continuously busy.
A log of error codes can be viewed at the end of the installer setup after the system tests. Active errors will be shown first. The Error Log will log the last ten errors (active and inactive).
Pressing the reset button will clear all inactive errors from the
error log; active errors can not be cleared until the condition has been remedially busy

Well you are naming 6 colors, where is 7?? I'm guessing you don't have a constant 24 going to the heat pump and there is no transformer outside. Send model number of indoor and outdoor, double check your wiring, double check your setup.

That thermostat must be used with a THM5421C1008 Equipment Interface Module. The thermostat communicates with the module and the module is connected to the HVAC components.
