Question about Hitachi C10FSH 10" Dual Bevel Slide Compound withLaser

1 Answer

I have a Hitachi C10FSH compound miter saw. I love this saw... but just recently had this problem. The blade wont come to a quick stop after I let off the trigger. First I thought the brushes needed to be replaced. (they were worn) so I replaced, but this didn't fix the problem. Then... I replaced the trigger components... still not fixed. Could it be the belt?

Trying to remove brushes on my Hitachi C10FSH MITER SAW. Removed caps on sides of motor housing with no problems. The brushes will not come out, scared to pull on springs to hard. Suggestions please!

You might have let the brushes go to long and they are worn so far that they came out of the holders. Maybe try turning the blade backwards while pulling on the brushes.

The blade brake is not working on my miter saw.

Clean your saw ! Use your air compressor with an attachment to get back in the nooks & crannies, blowing all the caked up sawdust out.

How do you remove the brushes on a Hitachi C10FSH compound miter saw?

On the sides of the motor housing there are two small, black screw caps about as big around as a dime. By removing those the brushes will come out. Most come out easily but if they are in very tight, be carefull not to strip out the screw driver slots. The caps are made of a hard plastic that breaks easily and if the slots are stripped out they are very difficult to remove.

Blade does not square up on c10fsh miter saw

To square up a mite saw blade, you need to eeither move the table or adjust it to be square if it is out in the mitre angle, or if it is out in the bevel angle the whole saw head needs to be adjusted, and this is done via the bevel adjustment at the back of the saw. There may be a bevel stop bolt to return the saw back to 90 degrees if moved to a different bevel angle. Usually the blade itself is not adjusted bu either the saw table or the bevel angle of the saw head itself to correct these issues.

How do you release the saw blade from the closed position on a Hitachi C10FCH 10" Compound Saw?

Hello, W/D here.

At the back of the saw, where it hinges, is a pin that locks the pivot joint. Push down on the saw handle while pulling the pin, then allow the saw to rise to the ready position. Reverse the order to store the saw.
Best regards, --W/D--

I do not have a compound saw, just a regular Hitachi skill saw. Often when I'm cutting through wood, the blade will suddently stop with trigger depressed. I can back it up and it immediatly starts again....

I would suggest 2 things... first check that your blade is tight... and second make sure that your power supply is long skinny cords or sharing outlets

With my c10fsh, when I cut with the stock to the left side of the blade, any board wide enough to come into contact with the trailing edge of the blade is recut slightly smaller. This does not happen if...

The motor is not on the same plane as the slide and so the blade is coming through slightly sideways. You will have to look for the mounting bolts for the motor and see if you can turn it slightly clockwise to true the blade to the slide. It would be great if you could mount a dial indicator on the table and move the blade past it and see the difference between the front edge and the back edge of the blade. Unplug it first. hope this helps. If you lived close by I would come over and help you...Jeepfxr
