Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

dont forget to vote

hope this helps

Controller MSI K8N Neo4 does not work

SHUT DOWN COMPUTER AND CLEAR CMOS BY RESETTING JUMPER ON MOTHERBOARD AND THEN RETURN JUMPER TO NORMAL POSITION OR USE RESET BUTTON. UNPLUG ALL HDD SATA CONNECTORS FROM HDD. BOOT COMPUTER TO BIOS. MAKE SURE ENABLE ALL SATA IS ENABLED, PRESS F10 AND EXIT.YOU WANT TO SHUT DOWN AGAIN. NOW REATTACH SATA HDD AND CONNECTORS AND BOOT TO BIOS AGAIN. NOW HIT F10 AND LET COMPUTER RESTART AND LOAD INTO THE OS. LOGON AND CHECK DEVICE MANAGER..SHOULD BE THERE. IF NOT CHECK MOTHER BOARD WEB SITE FOR BIOS UPDATE. IF BIOS UPDATE DOESN'T DO THE TRICK, SHUT DOWN AND DISCONNECT THE IDE DRIVE, UNLESS IT CONTAINS YOUR OS. TRY BOOTING TO BIOS AND CHANGE ORDER OF 1ST BOOT OPTIONS, HIT F10 AND EXIT AND ALLOW COMPUTER TO BOOT TO OS, THEN LOGON, GO TO DEVICE MANAGER AND REMOVE IDE AND RESTART, ONLY IF THIS HDD DOES NOT CONTAIN OS. YOU SHOULD BE FINE AFTER THIS, OR INSTALL YOUR OS ON THE SATA HDD.

Cant get compaq Presario SR2150NX to start

get in the bios settings and make sure to have the hard drive in the boot line, try different settings like SATA/IDE compatible mode if the drive is not seen by the motherboard, try different plugs.
if the bios settings don't stay , check the position of the clear cmos jumper and change the backup battery of the motherboard.
Try to boot from cd. maybe a virus took off the boot flag from the hdd.

Hi Banyar, lets check the main menu & the boot order in you're bios. Start up the PC, as soon as you see any display on the monitor press the delete key every 2 seconds until the bios main menu loads. This is also where you can see the time & date. List on the left is;
Primary IDE Master
Primary IDE Slave
Secondary IDE Master
Secondary IDE Slave

Across from these on the right is the matching device. If you have one hard drive the bios will show its model number on the right.
Ex: ST150322A. (You're drive will be different). If you have more than one hard drive the second drive, (Should be listed as Primary IDE Slave). CD-ROM drives would be listed as, Secondary IDE Master & Secondary IDE Slave. Write down the model name of the Primary IDE Master on paper. Now go to the title, "Boot" in the bios. Use you're manual & go to page 2-25. High-light, Boot Device Priority & press enter. Set the order as shown in the manual. Make sure the 3rd boot device is set to the correct hard drive listed from the main menu. The model you wrote down. Once set save & exit the bios. The PC will restart. You should no longer receive the error message & windows should boot normally. If windows does not load normally than it is possible that the Primary IDE master drive is not the drive with windows installed on it. You must find the correct drive with windows loaded on it. Connect that drive to the Primary IDE master port.
You may need to reset the drive’s pin settings so it is seen as the primary drive.
Than change the 3rd device in the bios boot priority list with the correct drive. Windows demands that the operating system be located on the, Primary IDE master port. Please read pages 2-12 & the top of 2-13 in you're manual.

Good Luck!

Unable to use my computer. Usb keyboard, mouse fail

See buddy

If the BIOS it self is not opening means that it is not getting started,at the timing of power startup it just goes off with out showing anything the issue might be with the BIOS cell check that out otherwise there might be any issue with the BIOS than u have to consult with the vendor,

Now in second case where it is not working after the POST is done than might be the first boot sector has gone faulty you have to reinstall the OS.

ANd in if case it is giving a long beep before shutting down the issue might be with RAM check that out.

Inshort the issue might be with three things
1) BIOS cell (change the bios cell)
2) BIOS itself (consult vendor)
3) OS (Reinstall the OS)
4) RAM (Swap or change the RAM)

PLz do rate incase this info is important or giving u any benifit it helps us...

Thanx

D915GAG problem

this cant have anything to do with only replacing a cooler, unless when fitting it you have caused some sort of stress damage to the motherboard. Check all seatings of ram, graphics card and power connections in case they have been dislodged. I assume you have tried resetting the cmos settings in case there is a corrupt bios for some reason. The only other check is to see if the cooler is starting up straight away, as the processor may be shutting down if there is no fan running, or the motherboard is reading the temperatures incorrectly and not enabling you to boot.
