I have istalled window XP and i had window vista...but after installation of new one my laptop inspiron 1525 sound system is not working..m trying to install sound driver but thats not properly...

You are download grading your Operating System to XP from Vista. Drivers for Vista and XP are diferent.

You can download the Audio drivers for XP from Dell Support Site for your laptop.
Check your "Device Manager" and uninstall the previous drivers and reinstall the XP Audio drivers downloaded from Dell Site.

Hope it helps.

I can be able to play music but the sound doesn't me out of the build in speakers after formating the new Laptop inspiron 1420.Drivers are installed.

Hello,

it means you did not install the correct drivers for your laptop. I have experienced this before, but its was rectified when I installed the correct drivers.

Make sure the drivers installed is the exact drivers for for your operating system (Vista/XP).

Go to dell.com, look under the page, and select drivers & downloads under "Support".

On the next page click, "Select Model", choose "Laptops" Choose "Inspirion Laptops" then select your laptop model (1420), press confirm and proceed for the download.

Select your operating system (Win XP or Vista) scroll down and you would see "Audio". Select audio and proceed for the download.

Make sure you uninstall the old audio driver from your computer, before you install the new one.

To uninstall the older driver, click start menu, under search, type, "Device manager" and press enter.

From device manager, right click on audio and uninstall from there.

Take care.

I have no volume since windows vista was wiped off my computer

If you replaced Windows Vista with XP you will probably have to check your PC manufactor's website for the correct audio driver. You can check if your drivers are correct by going to system in the control panel and then going to device manager. If you have a yellow exclamation then more then likely you will need to install the correct driver.

your audio driver is not helpful for sound card which is you install on your pc.
plaese change this driver.
all windows have different driver for different devices.
so you install the driver compatible with window vista and sound card.

Disk partition

My preferred solution is GParted. You can download this LiveCD and boot from it. The interface is fairly simple to understand. NOTE: It is important that after you resize a Windows partition you boot it up right away and allow it to scan the disk.
