First try to update your graphics card's drivers, then, if it continues, be carefull because it's the graphics card chip controller (in the motherboard) that's is saying that is not hanging up the effort. keeping that risk, may burn all your pc. It happened once with me when I did a simple upgrade to the graphics card... the motherboard didn't hangeg. from that pc, I only took the cables and the fans. all the rest burned with almost no marks. started on the energy fountain and ended in the "reset" button.

Why is my Lenovo desktop putting out a pink color across the monitor.

Usually it's a problem related to the Graphic card (expensive) but before replacing it I would try the monitor cable on a different Pc: sometimes it's just a matter of a damaged VGA or Hdmi cable, which is cheap to change

Screen is pink on my dell dimension 3100

Check your monitor cable first! Try reconnecting your display cable both at the computer and monitor ends. If it's still pink, try reinstalling the vga graphics driver from the Dell Utility CD-ROM (Or download from Dell's support site then select you PC model's video driver and re-install it. if after re-installing the video driver your display's still pink, try connecting to a different monitor - if a different monitor displays correctly, then its your monitor that's faulty. If it's pink on a different monitor too, then it's your PC video hardware that's got the problem - At least you'll know whether it's the monitor that's faulty or whether it's your computer's graphics hardware. (if your computer's video chip is faulty, then I suspect you'll need a replacement motherboard - $$$ - as I think the video is "on-chip" on the Dimension 3100 - so it may be time to consign it to the scrapheap and buy a new system if you can afford to)

It sounds more like your video card is overheating, and stops sending output to your monitor. Double check the card, make sure the fans are running correctly. From what I can tell, the Geforce GT320 highest temp seems to be 105c. You can use RivaTuner to keep an eye on your temps. You can download it here.
Throw some more fans in the case if necessary.

It may be that your graphics card isn't quite man enough for the job. You'll have to check out the system requirements for these programmes. It may mean the purchase of a new graphics card with a higher rating.

If your screen do not include a driver cd, it is suposed to be a plug-&-Play monitor. Maby your computer do not support plug-&-Play interface. Try to download the driver by searching in google. That can happen if your graphic card that do not have a driver either(see below). If not working: Download A driver for your graphic card. You can check what graphic card you have by a software called "EVEREST Ultimate Edition" Download: For more information, contact your manufactuer
