Question about Whirlpool GHW9100L Front Load Washer
Code f-2 indicates a long drain or pump issue. chances are you pump is clogged. remove the lower panel on the front of the washer by removing the 3 screws under the panel. once that is out of your way you will see the pump right in the middle. you will also notice that the pump has a removable filter in it.
first go get a mop bucket to catch the water. remove the single screw in the front pump support(if it has one) and then pull the pump forward some so it will hang out the washer just enough to reach the bucket. loosen and remove the filter piece slowly to allow water to drain out. also dont pull the filter to far out yet just incase you have to close it back up if the bucket gets too full.
once that filter is out you will probably find baby socks, lingerie, or just a bunch of change clogging the pump area. if you cant see any thing in there then you will need a new pump.
look up your washer by the model number here http://lartoday.com/order_parts.htm and order a new pump, probably around $100
