Question about RCA Audio Players & Recorders
I have an M4304A MP3 player. Whenever I turn it on it says ''initializing'' and it never goes from there. Is is fully charged and I have only had it maybe two months?? I have tried to reset it by holding the power button down as insructed for 5 seconds...does not help RCA
As told in the manual and setup guide, the power button has to be held for more than 10 seconds to reset the player:

Mine did that and I just got it a few days ago. I had to go to the RCA website and re-install the firmware . Once that was complete, I had to disconnect it and power it up. Then I had to put the music in a little at a time and disconnect and power up. It helps to turn off the power save function in your settings while you are loading music to it. Make sure you back up anything that is already loaded on it that you don't want to lose, because re-installing the firmware deletes anything that is on it.
This is the link to re-install the firmaware.
Hope this helps!
