I need to set up 3 Vlans on a Linksys slm2024

There are 2 ways that the 1921 can support vlans.
If you purchase a 4 or 8 port switch module (EHWIC-4ESG or EHWIC-D-8ESG) for the 1921, the switch module can support 16 vlans.
The other option is set up one of the routed ports with sub-interfaces (one sub-interface per vlan) and attach the port to a trunk port on a switch.
You can create up to 1200 sub-interfaces on the 1900 (although I doubt you'd need that many without maxing the performance specs of the router)

The point of separate VLANs is to keep traffic on one VLAN from reaching the other VLAN. So, you asked for the two VLANs to be "isolated" from each other.

Please try to make the port where you are connecting you PC as untagged port under VLAN 44 and make the ports connecting the switch to the other one as Tagged port.

the setup is based on your requirements.
These devices are plug and play. So no configuration is reaquired to setup the switch and connect few devices into it.
If you want to create VLANs and all other settings then you have to go through the user manual.

Make sure that the frame encapsulation is set on the router to 802.1q on each of the sub-interfaces. You could also try fixing the speed and duplex on both the router and the switch in case there is a problem negotiating the speed and duplex.

i can't set ip address over 4 vlans. the 3com switch 4500 always give error message "there's not enough routing resources available".please help....

your router have reset switch just press, then off router and on.
