We (Other Techs here and Myself) will need some more information. Not to insult you in any way. But you basically told me your car radio isn't working. Can you tell us what manufacture and model your PC is? Is the sound from an integrated system on your motherboard or do you have an actual sound card. You can usually tell this by looking where you plug in your speakers. Looking at the back of your PC, if your speaker connector is grouped together with the majority of the PC's connections. Then the chance is good you have what is called "integrated audio". If your speakers plug into one of the expansion slots in the back of the PC away from the group I mentioned. Chances are you have a sound card plugged into your system. So if you give us more info I am sure we can help. It most likely is a missing or corrupted driver (a piece of software that tells Windows how to talk to a given piece of hardware). Just for your sanity, to check your PC's speakers. Make sure they are powered up and touch the end of the plug. If they are OK then you should hear a humming whenever your finger touches the plugs tip. Hope this helps. Please get back to us and let us know what type of system you have....

You need to install the drivers for your sound card as when you format a drive you wipe it clean.
Identify your sound card, and download from there site.
