'06 cadillac dts- no power @ cigarette lighter & center console 12V outlet

I know in my 06 CTS I had the same problem with the cigarette lighter. It came unclasped. Simply Take the complete part out (the piece with the ashtray and the cigarette lighter together and there is a plug there, make sure it is plugged in. They easily come unplugged because of the constant opening and closing of the component itself. I hope this helps on the DTS model.

My supersonic LCD TV Monitor 24inch 12v has no power/sound,does it have a fuse ?

All products have a fuse--on 12 volt ones if a cigarette lighter plug is used there will be a fuse in that and another directly inside the unit where the power connects.

Can you tell me what is wrong with my valentine one radar detector please

Old thread but This is probably a fried DC/DC converter inside the detector. Fuses are good for shorts but connecting to double the operating voltage will kill your electronics every time. Valentine 1 is the best. I beat laser with mine. Mike Valentine stands behind his product but you broke it so they probably will charge you for repair. If you have 24V system for stereo then any plugs or terminals need to be obviously marked. Try using a color that you can't mistake like yellow. .Or use a 12v power amp and your neighbors will be much happier.

Does not switch on

Unplug the TV. Carefully remove the back cover of the TV. Check continuity of the mains cord-Not ok-replace the cord-ok-Connect mains cord to the wall plug and switch one, take care not to touch exposed parts to avoid electric shock, which could also be fatal, connect the multimeter across the leads soldered on to the board and ensure that AC is in. Check secondary power supply of the SMPS for appropriate voltages (say 24V, 12V, 5V, 7V DC etc.). If that is ok, the problem lies in the board. You may have to go for a schematic of the TV and trouble shoot. In my opinion, the problems might be in the power supply. Once that is set right, check for shorting of DC supply to the TV using an analogue multimeter, setting to x1K Ohm. If reading shows low ohms or short, on checking up with red probe to positive and black probe to negative and vice verse, there is/are components shorting in the main board. You may have to check the components using your multimeter, ie., COLD TEST.

How do i change 12v power / cigarette lighter! in a Peugoet 206

The cigarette lighter is connected to a harness that's being the unit. You need to most likely remove the panel that the cigarette lighter is attached to in order to remove the lighter unit out. Once the unit is out, disconnect the wiring harness to exchange it. I don't know how exactly your lighter will come out

I want to change my battery,on my peugeot 307 2ltr diesel but can this be done without loosing the codes

There is an item called a "setting saver" or something like that. It's a small power supply that plugs into the cigarette lighter, that keeps radio and computer active while changing battery. (I imagine you could make one by attaching a cigarette lighter power adapter to a good battery and plugging it in there.Don't use one with a transformer, just straight 12v!

I've done it, using an adjustable power supply all i needed was 12VDC - 2Amp, the power connector going to the scanner is a 4 pin mini-DIN male, so i've ripped of the cable from the original bad power module, cable has inside 2 wires one black one white and a shielding. Black and schielding are connected together and are going to the minus, the white one is going to +12V
