Is it ZERO volume on your friend's end or just low volume.

====

The wind screen feature on Nokia is just a black foam under the mouth piece opening.

Over time,it will collect dust and dirty.

I fixed my Nokia 6265i by just passing a vacuum cleaner hose over the mouth piece opening.

I also use an alcohol cleaning pad (SQUEEZE OUT THE LIQUID FIRST) to wipe the mouth piece area.

If your mic does not pick up your voice then you will need to open the N95 and re-solder or replace the mic.

    Pic HERE

I will turn the phone navigation keys down and vacuum them first.

The mouth piece open will be on the lowest portion.

I hope this will work otherwise you have to open the case and change and solder the mic.

hi there!

yes theres a huge chance that the mic is clogged or damaged. if you open the unit up, you'll see a tiny gadget that serves as the mic, it this is clogged (phone got wet) its gonna be like that. try powercycling the phone (turn off, remove battery, simcard, memory card) leave it like that for 2mins, put everything back in, if its the same problem, a local technician is the best solution.

I have E71 phone, since yesterday if I call somebody he/she can't hear me but I could hear them?

First Option:- Ur microphone can be on mute, check the setting
Second Option:- Ur microphone may have gone out of order, so if first option doesnot work, then take the phone to some technician or to Nokia customer care centre

Making outgoing call the other party cannot hear clearly

1. Try using a wired headset.

If they can hear you more clearly, it's the mouth piece microphone that has gone bad.

If it doesn't work when using a wired headset, it's a problem internally with the phone.

Dropped nokia e90; now others can't hear me

The microphone is located under the last set of keys . you can open it up and see if when u dropped it a connection came loose but my guess when u dropped it you damaged the mic itself therefore the only way to fix it would to be to get a new phone
