Samsung CLP-300 Laser Printer

My printer will not pull the paper all the way. It grabs the paper, pulls it halfway, and stops. Any suggestions?

Re: Samsung CLP-300 Laser Printer

Try changing the printer toner cartridge first if not make sure that the paper of where the paper is stuck if under the toner cartridge check that there if there is any print on it and that it is entering the fuser section. If it has stopped at the fuser section then the possibility is that the fuser drive gear is broken or some teeth missing. If the paper is stuck before the toner cartridge then there maybe the pickup tyre dirty and not feeding correctly the other thing there maybe a sensor arm stuck down.

Try the above
Thanks J

Samsung clp 300 starts to feed paper but stops feeding (jams?) midway

This is a common problem with both this and the Xerox phaser 6110 (a rebadged Samsung)
It is due to the pickup roller "tyre" that is the rubber roller that pulls the paper from the tray.
It gets shiny and slips on the paper.
The cure is to "rough up" the roller with some sand paper or emery cloth.
The best way is to remove the imager unit and store it in a cupboard or a box IN THE DARK.
This stops toner getting everywhere.
Remove the paper tray turn the printer on its side you will see the roller underneath, using some sand paper or similar carefully rough up the rubber roller all round.
now put the machine back together and try printing it should be ok, if the problem persists try repeating the process.

Paper jams. I can see no real jams but the printer stops and i have to take the sheet out to go on.

Pull the paper tray out and try to clean the rubber feed roller with alcohol or water.

The printer will not pick up the paper!

Suggest you clean the pick-up rubber that lifts the paper.
And also lift up the front of your CLP-300 by about 3 inches. I put a box under the front. The paper will fed slightly downhill into the printer.
It works for me.

Paper feeding halfway through then stops

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud
