Question about Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook
Lots of stuff to try.
first power on laptop with battery out.
then try alternating sticks of memory. usually this means that one or both has gone bad.
it could also mean that the hdd has gone bad.
if this doesn't work also try having the laptop display to an external monitor. this could also be caused by video card, bad lcd, or inverter if it appears fine on the external then it is either the lcd or the inverter. if it does not then it could be the motherboard.
hope this helps.
