My Hitachi 57F59A rear projection tv shuts on and off on its own.

My Hitachi 57F59A rear projection tv shuts on and off by itself. Assuming no buttons could be stuck on tv or remote, what could be wrong?

Power supply / high voltage transformer could be wearing out or have a loose connection. You can try to wiggle them around to see if the tv reacts any different. Also check for any burnt, swelled, capacitors or marks on the main circuit board. Check all other wires for loosness

I am trying to find a replacement screen for my Hitachi projection tv!!

You can Google it or try Andrews Electronics who is in California but ships all over and has a 800 number and is also on the internet.

Hitachi may also have this but Andrews is Hitachi authorized.

I need to replace the screen on my Hitachi CRT Rear Projection TV. MOdel 57F59A. What is the part number for the screen assembly and where can I buy it for the lowest price.

It's about the easiest tv repair you will ever complete. They're 14 phillips head screws around the rear of the bezel to remove. The replacement part # is UX26082, you can find it at vancebaldwin for $251.38 which includes tax & ups ground shipping. You might need an extra hand due to the size of the screen. Hope this helps & good luck...
