I think you should get a Texas Instruments calculator and push the 'y=' button then put the equation like '2x+4' in the y1 area. You can put the X by using the variable botton. I hope my english makes sense I am not a native speaker.

Press APPS. Scroll up or down to reach Inequalz and press ENTER. The inequalz application will know control function graphing. Open the Y= editor to enter at least two inequalities . Use the tabs at the bottom to type in the relational operators. You will have to press [ALPHA] followed by [F1], or [F2], etc

Press the GRAPH function key (F5) to draw the graphs. You get the two regions superposed (original shading).

Press [ALPHA][F1 or F2] to activate the [SHADES] tab. This open up the following screen.

On this screen you can choose the type of shading 1: Intersection of the two regions ( the part of the plane that satisfies both inequalities, 2 the union of the two regions or 3 the original shading (as compared to choice 2). Selecting option 1:intersection gives you the following screen.

If you press the [ALPHA][F5] keys you have the HELP ? screen below.

If you press the [ALPHA] [F3] keys you get a Point of Interest (You should consult the manual for the Inequalz application for more details.

You don't need an app. Just press the Y= button and enter the inequality as if you're entering another function to be graphed. Then press left-arrow repeatedly to move to the diagonal line at the left end of the display. Press ENTER repeatedly to cycle through the different graph styles. If the inequality is of the form "y less than" or "y less than or equal to", select the shaded triangle below the line. If the inequality is of the form "y greater than" or "y greater than or equal to", select the shaded triangle above the line.

I've had this problem as well. The calculator has a program running on it that will not allow 2 (or more) functions to graph at once. To solve this:

1. Hit the "APPS" button.

2. Scroll down the list (close to the bottom) and find the application called "Transfrm". Press enter.

3. Highlight "Uninstall" and press enter.

Your calculator should now be able to graph as many functions as you would like!

A. If you are not drawing inequalities, kick the Ineqal application out of memory.

B. If you still want inequality drawing, but just for once want a function graph,

- In the the new screen display (INEQUAL RUNNING), select [2:Quit Inequal]
- Return to the [Y=] editor screen to make sure that you have function graphs

But since the calculator has space for 10 graphs at most, only one function can be highlighted.

I am going to assume that you want to graph y=f(x) functions, but when you opened the Y= editor, you found unusual symbols.

If the is the case, then you must have run the Inequalz Application. It stays in memory and takes over the graphing from the native OS. Inequalz must be unloaded from memory to return control to the native OS.

Use [2nd][CATALOG] to access the relaional operators less than or equal, greater than or equal, and the operator AND.

To access the inequality signs scroll upwards from abs( to reach the bottom of the catalog.

Note: You can use t as variable only in parametric graphs. Use x.
